I would tend to think there is nothing to talk about yet. Summer is winding down, kids going back to school, QT is over, and leagues are just now ramping up. Given the new landscape in North Texas with all the different leagues, most of the LH team rosters are brand new, The ECNL teams are probably materially changed, and the DA teams are brand newish given the program is newish...

Everyone is I think in team sizing up period and there are a ton of unknowns.. Add in the fact a lot of recent tournaments were rained out, it's the calm before the storm.. Just wait till LH league kicks off this weekend..

I will be curious to see how many teams CPP the first week to go get a win at the detriment of primary player on the team development. Anyone want to place their bets on which club/team from the age groups utilize CPP to bring in the ECNL kids to LH?

Also.. Can anyone answer whether DA kids can be CPP into LH? I think the answer is NO but have to be honest I haven't read all the DA restrictions.

Regarding your GDA-CPP question ... Kids that have signed the USSDA agreement are not permitted to participate in any other outside soccer activities other than Training Centers or USNT call ups.

And (outside of maybe D'Feet since where you may see a kid with a patch that never actually sees a minute of real ECNL match play), I'd bet that you won't see many (if any) ECNL kids CPP'd onto LHGCL rosters this weekend --

1)  It's a bit early for those shenanigans isn't it?
2)  Preseason ECNL Friendlies this weekend at Rolling Hills

That actually seems to be undefined ... All that the agreement mentions is "during the Academy Season".  

If this means when match play begins, then that would start September 1.

The marketing frenzy is over it's down time for the sales people paychecks are coming. Right now its analysis of what players to.use against the new rosters. The question will be how weak the teams are and if they can work the magic. I can hear a pin drop. Churn and burn another year in the financials.

I am not a fan of CPP EXCEPT for U18/19 ages or for an injured keeper. The roster sizes are more than adequate to accommodate injured players without the need for CPP in U11-U17 (keepers are the only exception).

AND for U18/U19.. If you are going to allow CPP then you should allow guest players for teams that aren't part of a big club. The rules should be specific on when/how a CPP/guest play is used such as documented player injury or documented player school or religious conflict.

I don't think there should ever be a valid reason why LHGCL would accept a field CPP outside these 2 exceptions. All it does is allow clubs to protect their bye from a potential indie team that is on a hot streak, is simply over achieving, or has done some serious development over the course of the year.
