ECNL vs DPL

I am a newbie to the forum and by the looks of it, it is everyone for themselves.
Daughter played ECNL last year, team is now gone or just hanging on by a thread.
Have been told that DPL will now be the way to go if ECNL gets the boot.
We know what ECNL has to offer but nothing about DPL, was wondering if we stay with current team or take offer from other club who has ECNL?
Does anyone have a Crystal Ball that can explain Pro's and Con's of DPL?

Other than tailoring my input based on soccerangels specific situation, it was nothing I haven't said on the open forum multiple times. Go look up my posting history and you'll get the general idea of where I stand.

My take here....If your current ECNL team is dissolving, I would definitely go to the other ECNL team. The ECNL team will give you better exposure and will play better opponents. DPL is good for 2nd tier teams, but there are only 5 teams in the conference. So that's a lot of games against the same people. You'll have more teams to play against in ECNL, and better teams. DPL has done good to make better post season options to play other conferences, but that doesn't make me choose them over ECNL offer.

Since you posted in the 02 forum, I’m assuming your dd is either a sophomore or junior. That being the case, if she’s committed I don’t think it matters where she plays but if she’s not committed, I would go with the ECNL for the exposure. Not to say you can’t get it with DPL but it’s obviously a new league and you don’t know what the college exposure will look like. You don’t have time to waste a year figuring that one out. JMO. GOOD LUCK.
