And often really more about the particular team/coach than the club itself.

This is true. you will get plenty of both yeahs and neahs. If you are looking at the club as a whole, I would say all 3 of the big clubs are yeah. If you are looking at a particular age group/team then you need to provide that in order to get a more accurate opinion. And, keep that in mind. These are just opinions. You need to decide for yourself. What is your objective for your child? What is the club's objective? Do they align?

If you are a girl - then a big NAY. Hassan does not support the girls side of Texans and it is evident in many ways. Run as fast as you can to another club.....

Texans
In my son's career (if you want to call it that) he has played for three clubs, Texans, Solar and Fever. I saw no difference from the club level. He had one coach who tried to kill his spirit and love for the game, one coach who continues to be very hard on him but yet supportive, and one coach who did nothing but praise him. My son thrived more under the second scenario. I know other kids who thrive best under the other approaches.
At the end of the day the club is just the name on the uniform and who is paying the coach. The club is not going to make the player. Look for a team that plays the same level talent as your child. You want them to be challenged but yet not overwhelmed. You want a situation where they get plenty of playtime whether as a starter on a bench player. My son plays up an age group and due to age and his lack of size he has been a deep bench player but he has embraced the importance of his role. He is able to play pretty much any position except goalie so his versatility helps him. He makes the most of his game time and it has already garnered him several looks from colleges. It is all about finding the right situation for your child and not the best situation for the parent's ego.
Good luck in your search.

As someone said, there is "not much difference between Texans, Solar or FC Dallas from a club perspective" but hey it is the easy choice and a way to keep feeding the beast.
If you want to find a club that see's your kid as something other than $ then Nay!
