The D'Feeters and Solar Red will be traveling to Austin this weekend to take on Lonestar and Challenge.

Looks like the weather will finally be nice for some soccer.

Why is ECNL having games during the Texas High soccer season. I have the understanding that ECNL is more relevent than High School. I get it. But Damn can someone somewhere use their head's? Can everyone all together say "Overuse injuries"!

Maybe I just really don't get it!

as I read this ODP is canceling weekend practices (I presume because fields are unavailable OR ECNL)...I don't believe any of these coaches care about overuse

Most coaches think there team is the only game in town.

They don't take into consideration these kids are playing on multiple teams, Club-ODP-HS. Sometimes parents need to just say no instead of waiting until after an injury occours.

Amen...or...if anything of true significance (nonsports-related) occurs in one's life. Everything gets a newer perspective. More power to those who can say 'no' to anything, much less select soccer.

Speaking from experience on the major knee injury topic, it definitely changed our way of thinking.

Agree 100%. We also be carrying two pairs of cleats at all times. One for turf or hard ground and another for grass.

Will also take into consideration what how games are going to played next soccer year.
