Andromeda '03G Mendoza now Sting '03G Mendoza!!

It's official.

The team formerly known as Andromeda '03G Mendoza has moved intact to Sting (now Sting '03G Mendoza). Best wishes to Andromeda SC and its families. Sting....here we come!!

The team is now more centrally located and will practice at Campbell Green Park (like most other Sting Academy teams and some Select) in Dallas (at the intersection of Campbell Rd and Hillcrest) on Tues/Thurs 6-7:30pm.

Bring your DD, bring her friends....heck bring the whole team. We are always looking to add good families and even better kids to the team.

Hmm.... Interesting - has or will there be players moving out? Might not be convenient for everybody!

Is this the first of all those wanting to jump on the ECNL bandwagon? I heard the ECNL Academy shirts are already getting printed up at the big 5.

Doubt the ECNL thing is applicable just yet. More likely its just a standard Sting import of a top academy team.

No its not applicable..but Im sure we can see some jumping on the bandwagon early to try and secure those in house spots...

Where is a Sting 04 team?

OK lets see who the Texans pick up next. i'm a little surprised since I thought Mendoza had a good thing with Andromeda.

Rumor has it that Andromeda is not paying there coaches. Does anybody know for sure? Surprised move!Will any teams follow to other clubs if thats ture.

Not sure about not paying the coaches. However I had heard that many teams will be making moves away from Andromeda due to the upcoming foreclosure in April.

Sadly I think it is true. There's more discussion about it on the boys forum.

We will likely see more of this from Andro coaches. I have a good source whose coach has not been paid since December. Facilities go on the auction block next week.

It's just sad to hear about this, I thought they were moving forward not backwards. I hope some club buys the club, they have a great facility.

So, with all of these Bankruptcy rumors swirling around, I thought I'd do a little research with Collin County. It seems that this goes back pretty far and the same rumors that are swirling around now, were around as far back as a year, or more, ago. So, I'm thinking that nothing is going to change with Andromeda or it's facility any time soon.

This topic has been beat in the ground so much. Andromeda has supposely been closed how many times now. Yes finances are tight just like every club is going through right now due to the economy. There have been coaches not paid due to there choice in helping the club out. One team moves and Andro is on the auction block? Come on the facility is open and will continue to stay open.

This rumor has been floating around for 2 years now and it is always the person saying " I have a good source on the inside" yet evryone still plays there SDL games and the doors are all ways open.

So until next month when the inside source says Andro is on the auction block and we all continue to play there, well I would say get a better inside source!

There are rumblings of coaches already having discussions with their teams regarding possible moves to other clubs. It's too bad, too. I guess a good question would be, has Andromeda gained any new teams during this period. If so, how do you suppose that happened?

Wow!! bb01 you have some inside scoop. There are always two stories to a story. I think you trying to do some damage control.

I heard from an unreliable source that the '03 team met over a week ago to discuss the foreclosure on the facility and practice locations in the air. Auction is supposed to be 4/5. First Wednesday of the month. Please note, I did say unreliable.

If there is an auction on April 5th, could this affect the last weekend of SDL games at ATF on April 9th and 10th?

Heard there is an auction due to the club being a couple million behind in payments. Can't confirm this is the case but know lots of andromeda academy coaches are looking elsewhere.

Nice spin! But it's not 1 team moving in several and many being high profile coaches. The coaches sure do complain alot for guy who voluntairly chose not to be paid. Also the forclosure notice is not rumor but a matter of fact.
