Soccer v Cheerleading Empty Soccer v Cheerleading

I found this article very amusing considering some of the things that my DD has reported being said by her coaches over the years. Maybe not for you younglings, but I bet most of us have first hand knowledge of some pretty pointed and flat out degrading and nasty speak from club soccer coaches considered respectable and successful.

Anyone here subjected that "Dance Mom's" show ? My kids watch it, and don't know what to think.... They love the kids, but are appalled by the moms and the teacher Abby Lee... which of course is the whole reason for the show.. ( to be appalled at these insane women).

Anyway I always ask them "What would you think if your soccer coach talked to you like that?".... nuf said.

ahahahahahaha.. I just read the article... I love this little bit of journalism.

Meanwhile, the cheerleader who provided the recording -- who is identified only as the 11th-grade daughter of a man named Abel Olivares

way to keep her identity a secret.

My dd loves that show. She records it every week. I use it as an example of how good she has it and how i'm not nearly as mean as some of the mom's on that show. pirat

hahaha... you mean you don't put up a "pyramid" of your favorite children each week.. just to keep them on their toes.

I think we all shine compared to that bunch of wack-a-doodles...

Your kid plays goalie though, which is closer to dance mom than soccer anyway.

This video was shown on one of the morning shows in a discussion about the appropriateness of dressing your 7 year old daughter as a burlesque dancer and then having her perform a dance that matches the costume. Somehow this catapulted these families into stardom. What a sad statement that we live in a culture which not only endorses this lack of morality but promotes it by developing a show around it.

Yuck, keep your kids away!

Abby Lee would be appauled. Spacing and timing were both off. They would be replaced in a heartbeat
