What team has the best 02 goalie in your opinion? Or do parents don't put too much attention to goalies as they do to field players?

I really like watching the SRSA '02 Colvin goalie play. She is a beast in the net.

Beast...not even....the beast is that Defeeter goalie...Ive seen that goalie kick it as far and she's way more atheletic...stops 80% compare to 50%??...IMOP...

Topics like this follow a very predictable pattern. 1) Parent wants to promote and market their kid. 2) Parent uses a newbee ID, usually with very few posts, to ask the question. 3) Then same parent uses another ID to post the answer that his or her kid is the best. This topic is really not about finding out who the best kid is. Someone is looking to get on another team as a keeper.

Playing good goal keeping is difficult at this age. It requires good hands, quick feet and a gut to come out and challenge forwards who run full speed toward you! There are several keepers who are ahead of the pack. Colvin GK, Stark GK and Feet GK are really good. Of course FCD GK is good but she does not get much work since her midfield/defense is so good. In 2-3 years the GK in the lower ranked teams will be more experienced and developed. As a goalie it may not be good to be on a really good team for the next 1-2 years.

That's not fair to the Feet girl. It is always a team effort, there are 10 other girls on that field. I have heard the Feet girl is awesome and I have also heard great things about the Colvin keeper. (I have seen her and thought she was older than an '02..so tall!!!!)
Don't call out girls..good or bad. Just not fair to them or their family..also not fair to the other girls on their team. Remember that....TEAM. They all rely on each other and different team styles use different player/position strengths!

Yes, I think it's hard at this age to even compare keepers. The playing field-as far as games, shots on goal, etc-isn't level at all and very unpredicatble, especially in this '02 group. Some GKs never touch the ball, as someone else had mentioned, because their D is so strong. Some keepers get drilled every game, but their teams often lose, even though the keeper's 10 saves might have been jaw-dropping.
