Congrats to new team, Dallas Texans 03g Moreno - QUICKFOOT CHAMPIONS!

I just wanted to share how proud I am of my girls today! We had two groups in the Quickfoot 3v3 tournament, and both played extremely well. One group finished 3rd on points, and the other group beat a very good Sting 02 team (good job to those girls, too) in the finals to take FIRST PLACE!!! I am so stoked about how this new team is coming together - talented girls, and really great families.

Let me know if you are interested in checking us out - we definitely have a few more spots to fill, including GK. We have the first two weeks of July off, but we'll start practices again on 17th - Tuesdays at JJ Pearce High School in Richardson from 6:30-8:00. In the fall, we'll do Tuesdays/Thursdays 6:30-8:00 at Moss Park.

Blew By You finished second....I don't know how you define

a 'very good Sting 02 team'.

From someone who is pretty familiar with the Sting 02 teams, I don't think Blew By You meets the criteria. In fact, if you look at the latest FBRs, they're just barely higher ranked than the Purple Ponies!

Congrats to Moreno's team! Great coach and I love how proud of her girls she is.

To you other folks that seem to enjoy tearing people down.

You don't think a little of that "pride" being exhibited was, in reality, more of a recruiting effort than a display of pride?

Are 03 and 05 team practices at Moss?

Whoa Turftoe... Calm down my friend! I certainly did not intend to impugn the honor of SRSA! I'm just proud of Becca and what she has been able to accomplish with her new 03 girls in a short period of time!

Lovethegame: It is my understanding that Becca's 05's practice at Ross Stewart. The 03's are currently at JJ Pearce, but will be moving to Moss sometime in August???

Who cares if they want to come on here and brag a bit. I've seen other teams do the same thing (Just look down the forum and you will see teams talking about winning this or winning that). Unless you are a top 5 team you've to toot your own horn a bit in order to try to attract better players. It's happening all the time now and will continue for the foreseeable future. There are some really talented kids out there right now that are stuck on some bad teams, for better or worse if you don't know much about the workings of the soccer world in NTX this is probably one of the few places you can find contacts for other teams.


It's not like they have a head coach with multiple screen names coming on the board touting his team and himself as a coach but doing so in the third person as to make it look like other people think he's the best.

My only problem with the post was the mention of beating a very good Sting 02 team. I found that to be inaccurate and very misleading.

I have no problem with tooting one's horn after a tournament win. Most of us have done it.

But, one thing is for certain, talking about it has gotten more and more hits on their their recruiting post. Essentially, we are ' bumping' the post for them...which is what ruffled someone's feathers to begin with. Let's move on.
