Predictions anyone for finals and champ?

I would expect RASE to be heavily favored in this one.

Don't count Dalglish out. This team has been playing very good in the last few tournaments.

agree, given the teams playing in this division. Curious why they are not playing up with the U10s and greater competition

I see Solar Ken 04 is playing up with the 03's. Why isn't RASE?

I was wondering the same on FC Premier. Also, is there anywhere online or a hotline to check field conditions, tournment game schedule changes, etc.?

New schedules posted, and cancelled less than 4 hours later. One game and Primetime keeps 75%.

Many tournaments say if you play even 1/2 of a game and the tournament is cancelled due to rain, they keep the entire amount...50% credit or 25% cash is generous compared to some others.

I understand, and knew that is generally the case. But it is a shame that the girls didn't get to play - but Plano was able to get their Sunday games in, and even the Ok City tournament (where they got much more rain) was able to complete theirs. To say the the tournament was "cancelled due to rain" is a stretch - unless the fields really are so much worse than Plano.

It is usually the venue's decision and not the tournament's. For the city who manages the parks, they could really care less about the tournament and they error on the side of not “damaging” their fields.

I am actually quite surprised to hear that plano played. What usually happens is that the parks department closes the fields due to the fact that they don't want the fields torn up, and they don't want to fix them. The tournament organizers usually would rather just play out the tournament. If the fields get torn up, it takes a while for the roots to get strong again. With fall season rapidly approaching, the grass could get permananently damaged (bare spots) until the next off-season. Spring tournaments (or Thanksgiving tournaments) will more likely play through the rain more often than late-summer tournaments because there is some recovery time for the grass.

I can appreciate their desire to not damage their fields - apparently the City of Plano didn't care (as much)? Both facilities received about the same amount of rain, which was much less than at my house, and we could have kicked off games there at 8:00 Sunday morning - without damage. If the city doesn't care about who they rent the fields to - and their approach is to rush to close the fields for the entire day after a little rain - then in the future, I would hope teams will consider playing in other venues.

Plano played because the fields were in playable condition.

So, either the fields in Carrollton are significantly less prepared to deal with what amounted to less than an inch of rain in mostly a downpour, or the city "could care less" and made a decision in the middle of the night without actually assesing the field conditions.

My suspicion is that they watched the 10 o'clock news, where the weather folks were saying it was going to rain and storm all day sunday....and don't ever change the channel by the way, cuz severe weather is just waiting to attack your house and you had better be watching your TV or your are going to die. By morning, the weather forcast had been updated to reflect only a 20% chance of rain, and as we know, it didn't rain at all on sunday. The tournament was cancelled at 11pm - before seeing the revised forcast.
