How did this final list correlate with FBR?

So BW... Rush and Ayses, thoughts on the wild variation there?

Otherwise, top twenty pretty well nailed by the FBR...

Not surprised. Every year there are 2-3 teams where the QT seeding and FBR don't agree. What's more surprising to me, is the large difference in seeding between Rush and Andromeda, considering very similar overall performance in King TuT and played to a 0-0 draw. Not sure how you explain that.

Also, the games have to be played, BUT... if week 1 -> week 2 format is consistent from previous years, you are looking at a likely week 2 bracket of:

Mustangs
AYSES
Warriors
FWFC White

With one of those teams assured a D1 spot.

Hopefully LH is still working on this and will revisit...

Rush beats the 22nd QT ranked team 2-1 ...  and receives a QT rankof 16   3-2 goal diff
FCD Blue Suarez wins group that includes Rush and receives rank of 25 (9 below Rush) 6-1 goal diff
Andromeda finishes ahead of Rush in group and is ranked below Rush
Cosmos ties teams QT ranked at 12 and 17 and receives rank of 23
Ayses beats QT ranked teams 51,45,41  receives a QT rank of 20
Mustang beats QT ranked teams 51,45,41, loses to Ayses 2-1 and lands at 21

Here's a thought. Why don't you just go out and beat the teams your supposed to beat.
Make it to the next weekend and maybe they'll reseed.
Save some of these tears for the pillow.

King tut is not the end all for ranking, history plays a big factor as it should, one or two games doesn't make a good team...btw I do agree about rush, wildly over ranked at 16

That would be a departure from how the QT has been run the last 3 years.  Not saying they won't do things differently this year, but if they follow the same process they used for the '00's-'02's, the Week 2 pools will be formed off of the Week 1 results as follows:



Where "M2" is the team with the 2nd highest points in Pool M from week 1 games, "L2" is the team with the 2nd highest points in Pool L from week 1 games, etc.

holy cow... 52 teams...is this like a record for number of teams going to QT?

Just for fun... Which of these brackets would you least like your DD's team to have been placed in? Which would you have been most happy with?

Seems pretty fair from what I could tell, there are a few teams that are seeded slightly higher than I would have rated them but all in all not too bad.

I think FcD premier has a good draw of any team not named SRSA. Sting west got a tough draw with LP Barnes, and FCD Suarez vs DTS should be fun. Speed on speed.

At least that's my initial thoughts when looking at things.
Should make for an interesting weekend of soccer.

I'd call this the bracket of death!
DT should win but I wouldn't sell the other teams short.
I've seen crazier results in QT.

I'd love to be in Ayes Gold situation. They should make D1 in the 2nd weekend.

My vote for biggest beef over seeding would probably go to FCD South Blue (Suarez).

Results in past 4 months + Puma Cup are definitely stronger than a #25 seed. 1st week matchups with DTS and Sparta. Potential 2nd week matchup with either Dallas Rush or Mutiny/Fever to try to secure a D1 spot.

Seeding committee must've seen something they didn't think warranted a higher seed?

Style of play perhaps?
