I appreciate the list, but it appeared to be '03 related. Or maybe that applies to '04 as well? Anyway, I'd like to know if any of the top teams in '04 age plan to play in a tournament soon since I'm considering bringing a team to Dallas and want to see the best that Dallas has to offer. Am I to conclude that Liverpool Legends tournament in May is the tournament of choice since they field some of the best teams for this age group?

I would pick the PrimeTime Summer Tournaments... there is one in end of May in Carrollton which is great and has top competition.

If you want the best then I would contact the 04G teams coaches and see what tourneys they are doing. Look in the 04G rankings to get the top teams and then see where they are playing.....but beware you are playing in Dallas not Houston.

In most cases, the top '04 teams in this area play up to '03. That is especially true for the top Liverpool teams. There are so many tournaments between now and early June that there is no guarantee one will have higher quality than the next. I know that doesn't help you but I don't think you can go wrong by just picking a weekend that works for your team. You will play some quality teams no matter which tournament you choose.

Yes. Most (all?) tournaments the '03s can play in have '04s as well (at least while the '03s are still academy age).

Since you are traveling and want to play some good teams you might want to check the FBR for the '04s and contact a few team managers to see their plans. Or maybe you can set up a thread for the '04s like Jewels does for the '03s.

When my girs were U9 the Primetime tournaments seemed to have pretty good competition. primetimesportz.com

Can we get some credentials on your team, if you don't mind. It's always exciting to play other teams from outside of NTX. Just FYI, the top teams generally play 11v11 here at the '04 age group but you can settle for 9v9 as well. Your call..

Sure. Here are our results. We entered the Liverpool Legends Invitational tournament. We recognize the competition in Houston is no where near that of Dallas. I hope this inspires more teams to join. Liverpool can thank us later Smile

Legends is your best bet. To clarify someone else's post a lot of the 04 teams have started playing 11v11 leagues, a mistake in my opinion, TX is the only state to do that. Tournaments, for the most part are still 9v9 and most of higher ranked teams will more than likely play in that tournament.
