Congrats to Kicks Blue

Kicks made it to Finals at the AFC Summer Classic. So far we've dominated the entire bracket. Good luck to both teams tomorrow

Is it me or was that the Kicks top club team and a few of the Blue players were guesting?

Somebody needs a lesson in humility. I dont think any SC players are playing. Im sure the KB coach doesnt want you posting unless your not a parent since its your first post.

Per the original post, "Kicks" is advancing to the finals. It does not matter which team or players played. It is all legal as long as they were on the tournament roster. This is, after all, recruiting season...

Does seem a little premature to give congrats for just making the finals of a small tournament? I am curious if they played any good teams and how many guests they have from the club's higher level teams. I believe AFC White is all PPL D2 players except for one guest from Frisco rec.

The only SC player playing is the keeper, who is playing in the field. This is awesome for her because it makes her a better sweeper as goalies tend to get even more involved as they get older.

Good luck to all the teams playing this weekend. Plano to D3 to D1...all these girls are establishing memories that will last a lifetime.

I am excited for our girls. We have had a rough season and haven't won much lately. So beating the LH D2 team Spirit 7-0 and the top ranked FC force 4-0 before game got cancelled due to lightning, is huge for our teams confidence. We borrowed 4 players from our top team. We are looking forward to tomorrow's championship game.

Thought Spirit North Red was in Plano and FC Force in Plano 2. Things change?

you are correct. FC Force is at the bottom of ppl d2 and Tx Spirit North Red is near the bottom of ppl d2. Are we back to delusional kicks propaganda passing off beating bad PPL teams as LHGCL wins, lol.

I guess the type of person that posts self-congrats for something like a bracket win against all lower ranked teams might really think they beat up on LHGCL teams. I cant imagine the post from kicks dominator if the beat the PPL D2 AFC tomorrow. Maybe it will be Kicks Blue takes down USNWT?

Well I wouldn't be too hard on them, Blank. After all, they only borrowed 4 players from their top team!

Its really not that big of a deal that you are borrowing guest players, i mean its legal, its a tournament and what not. But we just played this team in season play about a month ago or so and lets put it this way, there were several new faces playing on this team. If you are going to borrow players, admit to it and quit denying it...its no big deal. But don't say you are recruiting either when taking players from your top team...seriously? The kicks top players are coming down to join your team? lol

I don't know if they are trophy hunting at the expense of sitting regulars, but that does seem to be the rumor with them regularly. Are the players on KB so enamered by their "tiny club that can" that they sit quitely while their kids are on the sideline while players from other club teams come in a get their DD's playing time? I don't know and I hope by this point that this stuff doesn't go on, but I can't say I would be suprised.

Getting the keeper playing time, that is class all the way and helping her and the team, a win - win. If they are benching KB players for KG or KSC field players for the sole purpose to clean up on a PPL field - I think that would be poor to the kids on KB.

Either way, hope it is a good final with hard clean soccer. I am sad that I am going to miss it.

Kicks Blue would like to thank AFC White for a good game today. That was much more of a competitive game than we played against your sister team. I'm surprised they weren't the LH team. White team also showed great sportsmanship during award presentation...Good Luck down the road and thanks to AFC for holding this event. It was one of best tournaments we have been apart of.
