Just curious to see which teams are planning to play the LH qualifying tourney this season. From what I've seen on the teams looking posts and heard here and there, I have at least the following teams trying:

Rush Stark (former Solar)
Liverpool Keegan
Liverpool Nicol
Texans Red
FC Dallas Black
fC Dallas White
Odyssey 02G White
Andromeda 02G
Mutiny FC

Have you seen FWFC play?  They are pretty competitive.  Have beat LP Keegan, tied Rush Stark and beat Odyssey.  Lost to Cosmos 1-0 in a heart breaker.  Also tied LP Thompson.   Beat LP Hansen and LP Veasey ( I think...)

Also Andromeda West is a good team and I think they will have a great shot at getting in!

And don't forget DT Red Payne. Some very quality players have been added to that team since the new coach came on board!!

I don't think anybody can predict anything. Who knows what kind of players they were able to sign, or if they lost some due to having to re-qualify. There are just too many variables.

FWFC tied Premier FC, beat Statik, and lost to Solar (Gio) Chelsea in literally the last 30 seconds of the match during the Flame Fest. Should have a very strong showing.

LP Keegan and if Stark was able to keep his team together are locks!!
FWFC was strong but not sure if they lost or added anyone. If they kept their team together, I give them the third spot.

This is the most unpredictable tourney of the year. Parents and coaches put too much pressure on the DDs. The kids rush when they have chances and miss goals they normally make all year long. I predict at least one favorite melts down and misses out. Happens every year.

Yes happened to Stark last year and they "killed" in PPL. Wrong league for them.

So if U12 teams who are requalifying/qualifying have to play two weekends regardless, and LHCL doesn't use King Tut or Puma Cup to seed them...then it seems kind of smart to skip tournaments the weekend before QT so the girls are rested and only play maybe 8 games in two weeks of QT instead of having to play up to 12 games in 3 weeks in July/Aug Texas heat!

Agreed. I guess it is clear that LH is not using king tut or puma for seeding at all. Some interesting brackets they have come up with this year, but like all years, just need to win and your in. Good luck to all.

It was not made clear that LH wasn't using King Tut until the managers meeting on Tuesday, after everyone had already signed up to play in Puma and Tut!

Really, that's why a few of the teams that made it in only won 2 games out of 6 last year in QT and 1 team lost 5 games and only won 1 game... yet they still made it in... b/c of the bracket they were in... and teams that beat them in QT last year, and continue to beat them in tournaments, didn't make it in... Sometimes that cards are just stacked against you... for seeding and brackets to work correctly, the teams have to be seeded correctly in the first place... if a team is really better than they are seeded then it negatively impacts the other teams in their bracket that otherwise would have had a fair shot.

Any new thoughts after King Tut?

I guess I will revise my predictions a bit. Maybe DT Pane isn't ready. Based on scores (I didn't catch any of their games), I think new Coach and many new team members may need more time to gel before they can qualify.

Unfortunate Keegan played Puma...I wanted to see them.

I guess I'll keep my predictions of Keegan, Stark and FWFC.... next could be Andro West. But FC Dallas West Black (according to scores) seemed strong...they look to have a really good chance to requalify.

But perhaps Mutiny 02 Hason was a surprise? They seemed strong but played in the Silver so I don't know how they would match up to Stark, Keegan, FWFC.

Bracket E is going to be tough. LP Keegan and Dallas Rush Nero are in the same bracket. It's going to be an interesting Round 1. Both teams deserve to make it through to round 2 and into D3.

Don't underestimate the power of being seeded well. DT Red is seeded #1 so their toughest match is the #10 seed. The #1 and #2 seeds are very likely to re-qualify. I wonder how this has played out at this age in previous years.
