01 LH D1 Poll Aug 24-25

1st time trying this.  Hopefully will create good discussions...

Your poll didn't get set up correctly. It's comparing all of the results together to give the percentages rather than just the 2 teams playing each other.

With this forum's technology, this is the best I believe can be done at this time. The teams are paired using the "vs." so the higher percentage team of each pairing is the team that our audience is selecting as the "favorite". Multiple teams can be chosen. Please let me know if there is a better way...

You're right. For some reason I was thinking it was able to show individual matches separately.

Nice poll. Hope u keep it going thru the year. Didn't vote this time as I think they're all toss ups except the Texans game.

Most interesting match up for me is new look Andro vs. Guzman. If Andro can hang with Guzman D1 is going to be incredibly tight this year with a narrow gap from top all the way down to 8 or 9.

Don't you think that many games this season will be a toss up? I just don't think there is that much difference from top to bottom. I believe Sting may be the preseason favorite, but FCD and Red will maintain their top tier status. I can see Kicks and Texans competing with the top 3 every week. If Sting and Andro have also improved, you are looking at a very solid top 7. I think DTFW will struggle, and the gauntlet of the D1 schedule will be tough for them. Other than that, I really have no idea about Feet. I know they have had some major turnover, but have they improved enough to get up in to the next tier?

It should be a very competitive year. I am looking forward to it.

I don't agree that they are the favorite, but I don't disagree either. The consensus I have been hearing is that they will be the team to beat. I'd have a hard time picking one of the top 5 as a clear favorite right now.

I think, (I HOPE) the gap is narrowing a bit top to bottom...  Gut feeling is Sting will be the team to beat as it seems they are cherry picking a lot of quality players.  I think it will be a two horse race at the top between Sting and Grubb with Solar Red and DT Scott fighting for the third spot.  Kicks remained stable during the off season so one would think they would they get the nod over the remaining teams.  I'd like to think with the additions Feet made and continuing to develop with Coach Pfeils play style the team will continue to trend upward and build off the momentum it had the last month of Lake Highlands.  It should be a fun year and unfortuantley the last year we will be able to debate this peticular group of teams...

That does sound like a new look. Curious here, how many players did Feet add? Maybe they are also a "new look" and how many of those were from Solar White?

Strong wind would have threatened the opposition goal more, lol. I have heard their new offense is refreshing. Good group of girls and coach, I hope they do well this season.

Looks like the majority of voters were wrong this week.

On another note, Some pretty messed up fields at UTD (4-6). Maybe this is an attempt to make Moss look better?!

Fields and refs both leave alot to be desired. Alot of one sided calls. Am I the only one who thinks this?
