WNT vs. Mexico Discussion

Did anyone else watch the beat down the US Women put on the Mexico team? 7-0. Impressions?
I was impressed with the short passing game and possession ball play that was demonstrated. Also new faces earned their first caps, #'s 23, 22, 25 and 16 all first timers I believe. Tymark (#23) was a nice addition from what I saw her contribute. #25 also, based on that game I think those two will get more opportunities and possibly WC Slots. Did Leroux go off or not!? 4 goals!
I think the USWNT doesn't have another game until January 31 2014. Is that correct?

The US team looked good, and the Mexican team looked bad. I think most college teams could have taken the ladies from Mexico... and a few local select groups might have given them a run for their money.

The only thing that stood out to me (besides Mexico is not very good) is that they need to scratch Lauren Holiday #12 from the final US roster. Other than her excellent assist on a spot kick- she would have been a major liability against better competition. I do not think I have ever seen someone pass it to the wrong team more and give up possession so easily for the USWNT. Just my 2 cents.

I understand they mentioned that a couple of times last night. I doubt they will be looking to her for a lot of goals given the strikers on the team, but you may be right. I have to admit I have not watched her play very much, so maybe this was just a VERY off game for her, but it was pretty ugly to watch her play last night.
