2013 WAGS '01

Good luck to Feet heading out to east coast for WAGS this weekend. We can rib eachother @ home, but once you leave dfw it's all about NTX baby!

Thanks!  It will be a tough weekend for sure, the top division is loaded....  I will definitely be happy if the girls make it out of bracket play.  Only bummer is with the whole shutdown going on we will be limited on sightseeing option.  It should be a fun weekend anyways.

Will be interesting to see how they do in WAGS. I've watched this team play a couple of LH games and they are one of he best first-half teams in D1. Only issue is they are still losing 3-0 at the end of the day, not sure what that is all about. They are still NTX blood so good look to the Feet.

Feet tied with Bricktown Fury this morning 1-1.  All the games are on turf so it took a good 15 minutes for both teams to get their touch.  Feet had more quality chances and held possession longer.  Bricktown appeared to be on par with our lower D1 or upper D2 teams.  Goes to show how the Gotsoccer rankings are skewed, they are the #2 Nationally ranked team....

Gotsoccer about six weeks ago did a complete reset on points. The accumulated points per team dropped for a lot of the Texas and California teams. This aloud for three of the east coast teams to jump considerably in the rankings. With that said, this is why you play the games. Good job!

Thanks 4-3-3. Feet 1-0 over LeHigh Valley setting up a win and in game vs. FC Virginia in the morning. Very different style of play from the East Coast teams.

Congrats. It is always fun to see different teams around the country and have fun as a team.

Feet dropped the last bracket game 0-1 to FC Virginia ending our weekend at 1-1-1, very solid and technical team. Hopefully we will run into them later in ECNL. Tough weather weekend but good competition. Very happy with the girls performance this weekend and felt they represented NTX.

I definately think a team like Kicks would enjoy a tournament out East. The three teams we played, (Bricktown, LeHigh Valley and FC Virginia) all played a similar style of "possessive" soccer. The three weren't quite there and were actually similar to what Feet or Andro would put on the field. They did mix in a little dump and run but we could see that was not thier gameplan or goal. All in all it was nice to play some games and not see the physical brand of soccer we see here or what I have seen from the SoCal teams. One thing they do have as a major advantage is that it looks like a lot of the teams up that direction play exclusively on turf, Feet did have a lot of balls that missed connecting just from the speed of the pitch. I know the cold and rain coupled with playing three games on turf had my DD's knees pretty sore... I wanted to stay and watch Tophat play but the weekend was so dismal and rainy we really didn't want to spend another minute at the fields.
