And thats a shame, they were at one time considered to be a top D2 team. Losing 2-3 weapons always hurts, and now I hear another one of their top weapons is unhappy and may be looking to depart.

Celtic/Sting east tied

Do not know Waco score but heard Sting north won

Dynasty 3 Saints 1....... Saints scored in the first 5 min then Dynasty outplayed them for the final 45 min

Why does it always take so long to post ANY of the D2 scores but yet D1 and most time D3 scores seem to be up very quickly? Either ALL the D2 managers suck at getting their division directors the scores right away or the division director is slower than the other directors in Lake High
. What's up? I want to see scores and standings.
I understand it is a volunteer job and they probably have a life too but it seems it isn't a terrible time consumer to post these as all others know how important it is to everyone.

The 98 D2 commissioner is damn fast. I've had occasions where we had 8:15pm Wednesday games and the scores were up before we even got home.

It just bugs me, if they don't have time to do it then don't volunteer for it. This is not just this weekend or I would not complain. If they could be just half as fast as the D1 scores that get posted, I would be happy!

Limp, I am not sure what your post above is as it is speaking in future tense as though games have not been played yet and I know that at least one score is not accurate, but whatever the post is about I do appreciate the effort but now you can see why we need to have the scores posted!

You get what you pay for with volunteers. That's why we have a forum so everyone can do the math anyway, which is what everyone wants to know.

Yes, they lost 2-3 to top D1 teams and a couple just quit.

Yes, they lost 2-3 to top D1 teams and a couple just quit.

Why would they quit? Balls of Glory and why would 2-3 players leave a good team? Is the grass greener on the other side?

I imagine the ones that went to D1 teams wanted to play at a higher level than the coach/team could offer. Who knows why some just quit

It's not surprising given how the turnover on teams often is very high.  By the time most of these teams go into HS, they will look completely different then they do now.  My older daughters team had more people from her D1 team quit soccer altogether than stay into their Freshmen year.

My U12 is my oldest, so I am interested to hear what causes the turnover. Is it boys, other sports, physical changes, etc.? Or is it burn out? The first stuff I know I cannot control, but I do wonder about burn out causing my DD to go from being obsessed with soccer to hating it.

I only have one sample older than U12, so take it for what it's worth. I'd say it could be divided into 3rds. 1/3 stays on the team as long as they can. 1/3 leaves for greener pastures (or pastures where they can play more). 1/3 leaves soccer altogether. I assume you are interested in the last 1/3rd.

Some of those were burned out by their parents and/or coaches. Sometimes parents get divorced, and parent A doesn't want to spend their custody time driving to practice all the time. Some discover the existence of boys. Some get too many concussions or other bad injury. (This is not all from one team, but reasons I have seen across several teams).

I suspect the higher a team is in ranking, the more pressure the girls feel, the faster and higher the burn out rate. That's making a generalization, of course...not ALL D1 teams are pressure cookers, but I'm sure that's a factor. I would be wary of putting my daughter on a D1 team until it's time for ECNL for that reason, unless of course she is so good that she just can't develop or improve on a lower division team.
