Xara nightmare

This tourney, geez. Took off work an hour and a half early to get to Chinn Chapel by 5:30 to warm up. Other teams coach gets an email AT 5:10 PM after both teams start arriving saying that they had closed 3 of the fields and our game was cancelled. Absolutely crazy. Schedules changed daily up until the night of the tourney and now this? No one should have to pay for this. It's a shame people even have to ASK for money back. Mistakes are forgivable to a point, but this seems like a complete lack of attention to detail in planning. How about this...If you're closing 3 fields pick up the phone and CALL the coaches and managers as well as sending an email to be sure you got the message out. I'm sure the TD will take a beating for the nightmare this has been so far, but better communication seems like it could have helped avoid what it has become. These are supposed to be fun, right?

that does stink. But if memory serves me well, the Zara tournament is usually the best run tournament in DFW. Sorry that happened to you "thatwasweird"... good luck for the rest of tourney.

Thanks!  Just writing off the rest of the weekend and waiting at Xara's mercy for the next schedule adjustment.  Ready to see the kids play!

This is absolutely what should have happened. Our whole group drove 1 to 1.5 hours to get to this game to be informed by the other teams manager that the games were canceled. It only takes 1 badly handled tournament to cause teams not to choose to play in this tournament again. I hope they find who or what caused these problems and fix it, because it seemed like last years tournament was well handled.
