    Railroad Complex Closed again

    Post  96Guru on Wed Feb 24, 2010 1:11 pm

Ok, this is starting to get way out of hand. Is GLASA being way too overprotective of this complex or is it really that bad at drying out. Yesterday was very little snow anywhere north of I30.
Railroad had two games in D1 and one game in D2 for the 96 age group tonight.

These kind of issues have to be causing rescheduling nightmares for LH. We are suppose to have 2 games there this weekend but since there is a 30% chance of rain Thursday night, I am sure those we be cancelled also.

Heck, at least the games get played at Moss even though I cant stand that place.

    More make up games coming!!!!!

It rained heavy Sunday morning. All GLASA fields were closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, but should be dry enough for tomorrow night's game, if we continue to have sunny conditions this afternoon and tomorrow.

The most reported on the news for the DFW area on Sunday was .25 of an inch. 3 days to dry out is a little over the top. It's going to be a long Spring if that is the norm for these fields.

I guess we don't have to worry about getting any mud on the uniforms with the field closure policy at GLASA.
I'll say it again... it's time for LH to man-up and return to Pizza Hut Park.

I drive by PHP every day. I've never seen the fields looking any better.

Of course, because they never get played on. It's like a freakin historic landmark.

Agreed PHP looks green and great. I think they must be saving the fields for the annual Easter egg hunt!

actually if you look at the game numbers, the solar/ revolution game from the fall still hasn't been played.

Correct, I think the scheduling board wishes that they would have worked a little harder to have the game played last fall.

It seems like it would make more sense to just change the game number to show as the Fall game so they can get the Fall season completed. Don't they use the Fall rankings for State Cup seedings?
