Dallas Kicks 01 (2014-2015 year)
If ECNL is not a right fit for you at U14 come give us a look. If you are looking to continue to develop with top-notch talent give me a call or shoot me an email. We will be training on some of the best fields in Dallas next year. You are allowed to contact me to get all information. However, you will need a release to train or guest play with us.
We have secured 2 D1 byes for the upcoming year.
· Kicks SC 01 – U13 D1 Grand Champions (expected to return 90% + of its current roster).
· Kicks Gold currently in 2nd place in D2 has secured a D1 bye for next season.
Open tryouts will be first two weeks of June. Or, if you have a release you are welcome to come out before June.
We will set LHGCL rosters for both teams (Kicks SC 01 and Kicks Gold 01) on or before June 15th. Players will have the opportunity to play with KSC01 or KG01 with CPP rule during LHGCL season. Players will know which team they are roster to, but might be asked to play on sister team in D1 for more playing time, new position etc…
Premier league (Fall) -
From both D1 rosters I will select a player pool of about 22 players that will be our Premier league team.
National league (December/March)–
In addition we will be applying this summer for National league.
From our Premier player pool only 17 or 18 players will dress and travel to each event. This will be based on performance. Also, we will select the best from the player pool for top elite tournaments such as Surf Cup, Disney, FC Delco, Jefferson Cup etc…
If you would like more info please contact me or shoot me an email. Or, if you have a release come to a team practice or to Kicks Futsal training at IAD with City Futsal staff.

Where and when will you be playing Top Talent? Five of the six top teams in D1 will be moving to ECNL.
Can you explain the difference between ECNL and NPL?
- Level of competition
- Travel
- Cost
- Rankings
How will the Kicks play in a ECNL tournament or ECNL teams?

Where and when will you be playing Top Talent? Five of the six top teams in D1 will be moving to ECNL. Our talent will be training together, pushing each other to get better. There is a great chance we keep 100% of our roster intact and add some additional talent that simply doesn't want to do ECNL. We will play Premier league and national elite tournaments to seek top competition. For example, this May we will be at FC Delco. Here is a link to accepted team list. There are several ecnl clubs in this tournament. http://www.gotsport.com/events/teamlist.asp?eventid=35682
Can you explain the difference between ECNL and NPL? Here is a link to National league. From the research that I have done. This league is on par with ECNL, as far as level of play and exposure to college coaches. http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/national_league/
- Level of competition
- Travel - Travel is required, so this league might not be for everyone.
- Cost - I will estimate another $1,000 - $1,500 per team. We have to get in first so not really worrying about cost right now. Our parents will do whatever it takes to support their kids if we get in.
- Rankings -
How will the Kicks play in a ECNL tournament or ECNL teams? We will not play in ECNL tournaments or leagues. We will play ECNL teams when they play in non-ecnl events, such as Surf Cup, WAGS, FC Delco, DGIC, Texas Cup etc......We would also be open to scrimmaging any ecnl team any time of the year

Re: Dallas Kicks 01 (2014-2015 year)
I’m curious about your intended use of the CPP. You stat it could be used for more playing time, new position, etc..
LHGCL rules stat the CPP was incorporated to fulfill two basic needs.
1. Foster the development of players by allowing them to participate within their own club at a higher level of competition without the commitment of a roster transfer.
2. To assist teams that may be short sided due to injury, illness, or other commitments.
Your two listed reason for use of the CPP don't appear to be fulfill either of these two reasons as stated by LHGCL. The level of competition Kicks SC 01 and Kicks Gold 01 will be exactly the same since they are both in D1. And why couldn’t a player try a new position her current team. More playing time for a CPP player will mean less playing time for the players on the recieving team IMO.

Re: Dallas Kicks 01 (2014-2015 year)
This past year it would make sense for them to use the CPP. A DII player who is dominating the DII competition certainly deserves the opportunity to test her skills against DI teams. That won't be the case this year.
As far as trying a new position. Could that player not try that position on her current team. And what about the player that is currently playing that position on the receiving team. Is her development not being hindered by lack of playing time?
If the intent was to only "Foster a Players development" then there wouldn't be restrictions on the number of players that can CPP or limitations on the number of games a player can play a day. Playing two games a day would certainly double a players development don't you think. But, that is not allowed as you well know.

Re: Dallas Kicks 01 (2014-2015 year)
I suggest if you're trying to lobby against the CPP rule, take it up with LH instead of Kicks.
If you're trying to police JM - good luck with that. LOL.
If you think you're hurting Kicks' reputation with this debate, you haven't paid attention to how its worked out for their players the last 5 years, given Kicks is the only club that has truly used a player pool concept with combined practices since Academy, and now becomes the only '01 club with multiple D1 byes earned by teams they've trained since Academy.
It's a bit silly people still single out Kicks on this issue, as Kicks SC has faced several teams this spring using CPP to bring players from other D1 teams or players down from '00 teams. I can pretty much guarantee, if they'd lost any of those games, not a single Kicks parent would've complained publicly or privately about CPP.
If the rule stands as written, expect Kicks to use it as they see fit, and expect the other teams to do the same...as they are ALREADY doing. If LH changes the rule, I expect Kicks will abide by changes and follow the rules, as they always have.
As has been mentioned previously, Kicks is looking to compete nationally and will be focused on development and positioning the girls to maximize their potential. LH is not the primary focus for Kicks at U14.
Given how things are looking, the 30+ girls that will train together next year with Kicks SC / Kicks gold will be a very talented bunch, and their practices will allow your DD to face off against some of the best talent in this region.
Instead of worrying about CPP, which is a relative non-issue, bring your DD to tryouts if she can fit in with that group.

Also, not lobbing againt the CPP rule. As stated above I think it's a good thing when used within the "Spirit of the Rule". We can agree to disagree on what that is. If other teams brought down 00 players then that was a mistake by LHGCL. CPP does not allow for 00 players to play in 01 matches.
Yes, we've all paid attention to the success of Kicks and the "player pool concept" over the last five years, Congradulations.
Thanks for the invite but she is happy where she is at.

Not a mistake by LH, I'm referring to talented '01 rostered on '00....and I see ZERO problem with it. Girls get better by playing the best competition they can find, not shrinking from it or complaining about it.
Good to hear your DD is happy where she is, and good luck!

We are currently training on Mondays and Thursdays at Gooch elementary school just south of 635.
In addition we are currently doing Tuesday night pick up games and Kicks Futsal on Wednesday nights at IAD with City Futsal. . Tuesday and Wednesday are optional.
We move to our new practice fields (Money Gram aka Elm Fork) on May 12. These fields were used for this year's prestigious Dallas Cup tournament. These fields are amazing.

Yes, because what happened 10 years ago in North Texas is probably still relevant today. Maybe one day they will come up with some sort of league that will showcase the area's best talent for DI colleges. They could even give it some sort of acronym like ECNL or something like that.
