PPL QT and D1 Teams

Well the PPL QT came and went. was rained out last weekend and appears games were made up during the week. Does it matter that the QT was for D3 and D4? Are there enough teams to make a D4? Who made D3 based on the QT results? In another thread it was asked who made D1? Nobody knows? The Plano website doesn't provide details on PPL teams who are in, and somewhere said that there would be 10 in each division.

Inquiring minds want to know...

It seems odd that we cannot even find out the teams in PPL 1 or 2 as they were not open for QT. However mum has been the word. Not sure why it is such a secret. They have moved several 02 teams around and given byes to teams that played last year into PPL2 but did not "earn" a bye. No word on why. Sounds political. Some teams earned their way and some did not except with n+1. this is just 02 don't know about other divisions

didnt know it was across the age groups. I was talking about the 03s in particular - so if 3 teams moved up to LHGCL from PPL D1 and doesnt look like any moved down into PPL D1 to replace them - wheres the back fill? 3 LHGCL D3 teams didnt make N+1 so they had to qualify for PPL D3. if they push up 3 teams from PPL D2- then that leaves holes in the now new D2 group do they then pull up the D3? and move everyone up?

It appears that PYSA (PPL) is moving any holes in D1 with their D2 teams, no matter where they placed. Any holes in D2 are filled with any LHGCL teams that didn't make it back, otherwise they probably promote D3 teams into D2.

Not sure I see why it matters who is where in any of the divisions. They have never published this information in the past.  When the schedules come out - we will all know - then play the games.  No secrets, PPL is just really busy as you can imagine.  One giant chess board with tons of moving parts and ramifications - trying to make everyone happy and be fair.  Not a job I would want for sure..  But I bet they are accepting volunteers and  close to home in Plano.  

PPL has told everyone that the season starts "after labor day weekend" but that doesn't necessarily mean the weekend of the 6th.  Yes the QT rain out may have impacted - but the bigger delay is 850+ teams for their LD Tourney!  WOW!!  That is going to be a great weekend.  At least in the U13 - there are no weak teams and each one can win on any game.  LHD2 teams in Silver B!  That's how deep the teams are.  Just the way it should be.
