Is it correct that players can begin practicing with other teams starting June 1 without a release and before June 1st their current coach must give them a practice release? Is there a formal practice release form or can the parent create a letter stating such and the coach sign it?

A lot of teams take guest players to Houston the first weekend of June because of the June 1st freedom release.

You still need a guest release to guest in a tournament in the month of June.

You do need a release for June tourneys, but if your coach won't sign it, NTX will sign it for you.

The vast majority of coaches freely give guest playing releases after June 1, but not all.

As I understand it, the more reasonable coaches use the State Cup as the date which they will start giving practice and guest playing releases.
