Randy Waldrum, hometown Coach, will be coaching Trinidad & Tobago, and was with the USWNT here in Frisco a few years ago.

Frustrating that these games are not played in Frisco Texas. It would be sold out.

Man that was frustrating to watch. It looked like most games here in NTX, one team has about 30 shots on goal, the other team packs it in and has about 5 chances off long counters and the game ends 1-0. Ugly soccer

It was ugly, but not a bad strategy by T&T as they knew they could not compete with the USA on an open field, so they packed it in and took away the ability for the USA to go long and get behind the defense.
What was shocking to me was the USA's lack of technical and tactical ability to put up numbers on a team that was clearly overmatched at every position on the field physically.

Much easier to defend the box plus 10 yards than it is to score w 8 against 9 in that space. The US set up some nice chances but didn't finish. Blasted over the bar from the spot several times (some w empty nets??). Some nice passing too though...the back header off 2nd half kick and a couple other near misses. Could have been 4-0 easily.

This. She sure looked really smug and arrogant sitting in that plush chair didn't she? This US team has been together for 5-6 years. the TnT team has been together for 5-6 weeks. They're going to make the WWC and cause some problems in the group stage. Would like to see them play against a Mexico team that lost 9-0(?) to the USWNT.

Will be interesting to see if Waldrum exposed the Achilles Heel of the US team by playing 'rope a dope' and making them try and beat you with skill. Will other teams adopt the approach and find any success, or was it was just an off night for the US.
