8th Annual CFBSA Spring Bash

Carrollton-Farmers Branch Soccer Association (CFBSA) is hosting the 8th Annual Spring Bash –May 14th-17th for U5-U19 recreational and U9-U10 academy soccer teams, U11-U16 competitive teams. Every team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games and will be playing on some of the best fields in north Texas, Cox Fields, McInnish Park and RE Good complex!
Our Spring Bash 2015 will be hosting teams from all over the state. Bring the family and friends to witness some great soccer and join in the fun activities. You don’t want to miss this opportunity for your team to have a great experience!

Registration Deadline: Register by April 30, 2015
U5 – U6 will play with 4 and a goalie $185.00
U7 – U8 will play with 6 and a goalie $235.00
U9 - U10 will play with 7 and a goalie $310.00
U11 – U12 will play with 10 and a goalie $335.00
U13 – U14 will play with 10 and a goalie $360.00
U15 – U16 will play with 10 and a goalie $385.00
U17 - U19 will play with 10 and a goalie $410.00
U7 Academy will play with 6 and a goalie $335.00
U8 Academy will play with 7 and a goalie $335.00
U9 Academy will play with 8 and a goalie $385.00

Isn't that Nicole James the one who alters weather patterns and causes so many rainouts! I heard she was singlehandedly trying to create rice paddies out of all the soccer fields in North Texas and using the money to buy seed.

What's up with the 05 seeding in this tournament?  Bracket A is tough.

Oh you must not know me - I never easily quit.

logical approach last weekend by Dom would have been to cancel the tment in advance given the weather forecast. We should have better forecast by noon trow and you can make sound decision instead of taking the same approach as last week.

Road into Mcinnish is literally closed by the city because of flash flood.

Re Goode has grass several inches higher than normal , wet field and mosquitoe infested. Is it too much to ask to make logical decision ?

You can't even drive back to RE Goode, also blocked off by the city.

Guess again gentlemen - my tournament will kick off TONIGHT contrary to what YOU want as the gates are open and the games will play.

I was simply stating what I saw as I drove by today at lunch, my child is not playing there. I hope it goes off well, but error on the side of safety over soccer. The river is damn full right there..

Yes as I've been told by several people. I just do my very best to have the teams play as many games as they can. To reschedule a practice, a game or even a tournament this season has been a...........well let's just say I might have better odds in Vegas!

Hmmm... Soccer is going to be played? Interesting!

Makes sense. 110 teams * 400 $ = 50,000 $. Play as few games as weather permits and refund half or nothing. Brilliant.

+ there are kayaks for rent not far from mcinnish to get to re goode

We all do! I see that Liverpool just announced they canceled their Legends tournament for this weekend and Soccerfest in Grapevine canceled earlier in the week. I applaud them for having enough sense to know when they have been beaten by Mother Nature and saving everyone from wasting their weekend sitting in their cars in the parking lot through countless rain delays.

No wonder we haven't heard anything from Shawnee Trail:

If inclement weather cancels the tournament PRIOR TO THE FIRST SCHEDULED GAME, all teams will receive a refund of 50% of their entry fee. If after the first start time there will be no refund.


So, if they can hold out until 6:00 – they keep 100%

They don’t even have to START the first game – just claim that the weather canceled the tournament after the start time of the first game.
