Thanks! Interesting scheduling:
1) Seems like scheduler made it difficult for an "all" NTX finals. Shocked
2) Not sure why Sting Black is the only team with two hour break between games vs. A/O 4 hours. scratch

Regardless, looking forward to seeing how NTX teams compare to what is considered the #1 soccer market in the country.

I don't think the scheduler had any interest in an all NTX finals. Hopefully, both teams can change those plans.
SoCal forum giving neither team much chance of that happening. But what do they know.
We will gladly exchange your 2 hour break for the Kicks "bracket of death" though. Very Happy
At least the weather should be nice.

No true advantage or disadvantage to having only a two hour break. It's both our second games and the fatigue factor will be harder on our team as we only carry 10 on our roster. Best of luck your team skeets and safe travels. Im glad we get to enjoy some competitive soccer in some beautiful weather.

10 by design. more time on the ball and such. Coach would like to add one or two and uses guests for that purpose.

Glad JM let 'em score 17 goals. Trust me its fun for kids , they don't know what level the opposition is at, it's a big confidence booster, not that they lack confidence . that's the best way to show the opposition their team is a bronze / copper bracket team.

If you can't light it up at surfcup, when is the right time? Also, what's the max number of goals that can be scored and not be 'bad form'?

The record I have seen is 39-0 and I still think the kids didn't play to their potential

That Dublin team did not belong at surf cup. Playing way over their heads. Surf was trying very hard to just pass and not take shots but ended up with 10 goals cuz you when 9 yr olds see an open net they shoot.

The game was 6-0 at the half and the second half was played more not to score and you get more goals.  You play back to the keeper and it just spreads the field more.  Trust me, playing keep away is far worse and demoralizing.  Parents get upset and kids stop chasing.  Kids were moved all over.  Dublin parents were really upset with their coach for playing them in the Super Group.

Great games scheduled this morning.

Kicks have the big matchup today against SD Surf, but advance either way.

Good luck to sting black, looks like they have an evenly matched opponent to overcome in order to advance.

SD Surf tied with kicks team earlier right? And we know where kicks and black stand in NTX. Kicks are matched up against legends fc that scored on sting black twice yday and could test kicks defense and both games should be evenly matched. Both kicks and black, make me a believer in NTX soccer.

Sting is down 1-2 with about 2 minutes left and gets a free kick outside the 18 and puts it over goalies head.  No overtime in Quarters and directly to Pks...both teams make first 3 pks...Surf hits the last 2 off the side post.  Sting wins in dramatic fashion.

Kicks beats Legends 3-0 and controls entire game.  Kicks has at least 5 shots from up close that go right to the keeper.  Kicks girls watch Sting take Pks...Kicks girls run on the field to celebrate with Sting and both parents take pictures of both teams together.  

Sting vs LA Galaxy and Kicks vs Eagles.

Has NTX has ever put two teams in surf semis???...definitely not since I've been watching. Considering the domination socal has been wielding over NTX lately, that's a big accomplishment! Maybe 06s will be the age group to turn the tide?
