What country was #2 or #3 in the running for the World Cup 2022?

I would like to see a better timezone for us. It was awesome when it was in Brazil.  The games were awesome to watch live. I hope it gets stripped from Quatar. Russia might be to close to change venue.

Does anyone beleive FIFA can be thoroughly corrupt while subsidiaries like u.s. soccer are clean? DOJ implicates Nike and Brazil but doesn't mention Nike's name? If this investigation is 20 years in the making, and 150 million is the bribe amount they hope to expose for the IRS, wouldn't DOJ get as much IRS bang for their buck investigating the hierarchy of "non profit" us soccer clubs and the networks of affiliated for profit businesses owned by the same groups running the non profits? The entire system of you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours is just FIFA culture on a local scale. Surely there is far than 150 million to be pulled back, and it shouldn't  take 20 years....of course that would mean cleaning up your own house before taking on the role of global policing.

Reelected President resigns today.  I'm sure there will be more fallout.

Wow, now that's a blast from the past, I was thinking higher up the food chain, hopefully not including anyone in the U.S. I had to laugh for a second, then pull up the last story I read on that (2014), really detailed and juicy. Like we don't have enough to read at the moment, lol.

In my experience soccer has been corrupt from top to the very bottom local association. NTSSA and US Youth do not follow their own by-laws and step in:

Garland Soccer, NTSSA and US Youth Soccer need to be thoroughly investigated and exposed in the media.

That's going to be an ugly case, wow.

GSA is totally broken.  NTSSA and US Youth have ignored appeals, complaints and grievances.  The ugly case is not enough to get them to step in and investigate and do as their by-laws dictate.  NTSSA must be having serious internal problems.  And, I dropped by US Youth Soccer today and they are completely useless.

US Club Soccer is looking really great at this point.  With the newest case of a child being victimized by a coach the media has gone crazy.  I was interviewed twice today and there may be follow-ups as we have FIFA like issues from the top to the bottom of soccer.  

I remember when soccer used to be fun.  I hope we get to that point again!

Soccer is totally corrupt. Apparently, North Texas State Soccer has been wasting your charity dollars defending its errant director, David Arciniega. All the associations under North Texas need to take a stand about this misuse of funds. Why should NTSSA pay attorney fees? They should have investigated and cleaned up Garland Soccer years ago. The money belongs to the families of North Texas and should be spent on programs for the kids and adults playing soccer!
