Little birdie told me the field is a little smaller this year than the last couple of years. Low 40's for total # of teams.

Only team missing from the top of the last FBR is DT Mid-Cities.

Did the little birdie also tell you the format they were using this year, ie all D1 teams decided first week or just bracket winners in D1 first week?

Birdie only gave me insight into the number of teams signed up. Nothing about the format. My guess is you'll need to wait for the managers meeting for that.

I heard 44 teams from our manager.  Only 40 accepted for King Tut so far. How do team who don't participate in King Tut get seeded for the LHGCL QT?

That's a pretty weak showing in Puma Cup.

Looks like DTS 05 is playing Puma in the 04 group. I don't know which one is weaker? The 05's or 04's in Puma Cup?

Looks like Pulp is Playing 04's at TUT as well. Trying to make sense out of that move as well. IMO the 05 group in Tut is better top to bottom than the 04 group is. Why Run from the 05's now? Maybe they didn't want to chance losing that top spot for QT. Even saying that by some miracle they lost to an 05 team at TUT, thy still get no worse than a #2 seed at Qt. Correct me if I'm wrong! Has there ever been a 1 or 2 seed not Qualify for D1?

Why, if you're Dallas Texans Red, do you play Puma?  DT South always plays Puma, even though I don't actually get that, either.  I've heard the argument for geography, but will they be signing up to play Arlington this Fall?  They appear to be hiding.  And, yes, so does Pulp.  Pulp, I suppose I understand.  You made your statement this Spring and at the SuperCopa -- what else is there to prove?  A draw or loss could raise eyebrows, I guess, and no, Orbitzone, no #1 or #2 have ever failed to qualify.  Pulp could sleepwalk into LH.  Playing this group of 04's, though, might be less productive than taking the weekend off.  I guess the same is true for DT South.  Worst case, they get a #4 or #5 seed, and that's pretty much a lock, too.

But I would think DT Red needs to show what they're capable of this weekend -- heard they had some very nice adds -- and playing teams who aren't even entering Qualifying will likely hurt more than it will help.

Anyone consider that maybe FCD asked Pulp if since they were already solid they would play up and make BOTH divisions' brackets even??

Not saying I know, just the 40 and 24 are more even than 41 and 23...maybe I just need to tune up my conspiracy theories...

DTS is consistent in taking the weird route.

I don't blame Pulp at all.  There are the undisputed #1 right now so why risk it?

Every year, 1 or 2 of the top 5 incoming U11 teams either don't play in TuT or Puma Cup, or play up against U12's.

The coaches of these teams don't give a rats butt if they are seeded #1 or #5, they know that QT is a mere formality for them, and they are simply doing what they think is best for preparing their team to play in QT.

...and every year people still come on and quack about about those teams ducking competition...

Looks like the King Tut brackets followed the FBR formula for the most part.

overall comment: wish Pulp and Adames were here...will be interesting to see how the move to FCD is working out for Baker

overall comment:  we will also finally get to see just who FWFC White is
game to watch:  D'Feeters v FCD Premier

Gold A -
overall comment:  this is where I think you might find the darkhorse(s) of the bunch...FCD Blue Ring might be outclassed here
Game to Watch:  Sting N Blue v NTFC Green

Gold B -
overall comment:  after getting bruised up in UAL Plat, Sting Scarfone might find parity here
Game to Watch:  Athletic Dallas v Sting Parsons

MOST OVERRANKED: tie Andromeda Rundell & Sting E Gray -- Plat B
MOST UNDERRANKED:  Sting West (West) -- Sil B

Lol. Pulp can play with that group of 04s so can sting black. Don't think the rest of the 05s can though.....bewwahahah the rest of the 05s are weak and all d-2 type teams compared to the top two......hehehaha sighhhh....
