The academy leagues are offering 9v9 and 11v11, but it looks like 11v11 for U10 to U12 is coming to an end. What about your '06 team?

It looks like 9v9 might actually be the direction most of the 06's will play, at least this fall. Thanks RWS for posting; c'mon people - keep the votes coming.

The issue is that if true the 9v9 won't be mandated until fall of u12 for the 06s......
So 11v11 for U11... no way they make the 06s drop back to 9v9 for 1 year and then back to 11v11 for U13... imagine that cluster... big difference in roster sizes between the two formats.

Abandon/ boycott 11v11 league at u11 next fall ( fall of 2015)
Everyone stay united and go play the league that can provide 9v9 fornat for u11 s next year ( fall of 2016).

Time for RWS to post one more poll on what we parents should do ? Play the same cancerous 11v11 league ( fall 2016) at u11 or move to a different league 9v9, a league which supply the demand ( business opportunity here).
And the coaches or these leagues, clubs don't pay the league fees , training costs. As parents, we should control , what format we want our kids to play. This mandate doesn't need to be coming from associations that have no idea on what goes on here at 11v11 leagues at u10-12.
I still believe if the coaches truly believe in small sided soccer like some of us here do, and have enough passion , devotion in player development and stay united . It is a matter of 20 text messages away from happening. They do talk just like we parents do and have each other's contacts.
And the coaches or these leagues, clubs don't pay the league fees , training costs. As parents, we should control , what format we want our kids to play. This mandate doesn't need to be coming from associations that have no idea on what goes on here at 11v11 leagues at u10-12.

I wish I had your sunny view of club soccer. It's team and club over development.
This change would have to be demanded from the parents(customers) .

It always has and always will be about team and club overy individual development. It's impossible for 1 coach to properly develop a player they see 2-3 hours per week in a training situation. Anyone who has ever thought that was enough to develop a player is being mislead.

We are playing 9v9 at u11 & u12 this season (Fall 2015). Judging by our team list, it is being well received...

no offense to the teams on the list, but simply having some numbers does not make the quality of play on the field high level.
@PrimeTimeSoccer.... you want to get some attention go all out at the coaches of the top teams, pull out all the stops and get them to commit to your 9v9 league... and them maybe, and thats still just a maybe others would follow.
LHGCL isnt a good league because of the name or the bodies that run it, its a good league because of the level of play in it. If that level of play isnt there.... well you get my drift...

That's not fair. Primetime can't take on the whole system. They still have other leagues and tournaments to worry about. But while we're offering them unsolicited input, can we move this league from the Colony to MoneyGram?

Talks about such an arrangement have taken place, but we were not able to get participation from all ECNL club DOC's. Hopefully, our success with U11-U14 in The Colony will be a stepping stone.

Good point , not all ECNL docs want to support this. which ones do ? This way we know where to take our dds .

Which clubs generally have the highest presence of LHGCL squads in all divisions... Sting, Texans... are likely culprits.

I am not going to name names, sorry. Some were interested, but not enough to make a league. We'll keep trying.

pts, I didn't expect you to name them either. for those docs and clubs, sdl is a better fit. They will get what they want. Play 11v11 at u8, have a roster size of 16 kids, practice 2-3 hours a week, take everyone's checks and make false promises to soccer parents like politicians lie before elections. The difference is we know who these politicians are ....,
