Sports Orthopedic Recommendation

My daughter started having knee pain about 2 months ago.

Anyone have a recommendation for pediatric orthopedic doctor?

Would love to have a good one for long haul.

If recommended, spend the money on a MRI, better to know for sure than guess.

Unless money is of no concern, it should be a concern where you end up going.  We have had success at one of the larger doctor associations, where there are multiple locations and doctors, as well as equipment (MRI’s).  Insurance companies prefer a place where you can get all your services, images, and tests done at one stop.  The MRI will cost you a lot less if it becomes necessary.  If you do go to a place like Plano Orthopedic, who probably have very competent doctors, beware of the offsite third party MRI place that no insurance company has an agreement with.  Just because your in network doctor recommends a place to get an MRI, doesn’t mean your insurance company has an agreement with them.   When you go out of network for an MRI, it will cost you thousands out of pocket.

Couple years ago I was worried about that...so put off the MRI.... 8 weeks later finally agreed to MRI and it was $50... had I known....

They are in north Plano. They did surgery on my daughter that is a wrestler. She dislocated her knee cap and they were and are great.
