Just wanted to check on the player who got injured on Sparta. She is a tough girl and hope she recovers quickly and it's nothing serious. It's hard seeing anyone hurt, especially one of these girls playing their hearts out on the field.

The main concern was her right eye which seems to have taken the hit the hardest. We went to Childrens Medical Center and they were wonderful (besides the 5 hour wait for the on-call ophthalmologist). He will be following her closely and sees her again on Tuesday. Black eye and blurred vision, but her vision had already improved by the time we left. Thank you for checking on her. Prayers for a full recovery are appreciated!

We were concerned as well. So glad she is doing better. That ball was really moving.

ok so what happened? She got hit by a ball? I had assumed it was a player to player bump. ???

Thank you all for the concern and prayers. I received pictures of both teams praying for her as she was waiting on the ambulance, warmed my heart and hers. Everything is looking better. Still lots of inflammation and blood in the eye. Once that heals, she'll be good to go! Thank you again! Still trying to talk her into sports goggles....
