FBR09 March 23rd 2017

Only 09 teams with 3 or more games are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.

Only 09G games against other 09G games are being shown on this FBR.  We have to have common opponents to calculate a correct FBR.  KEEP IN MIND: I cannot add a team if they are playing up an age group, or against boys as we have no way to compare those teams to any of the other 09G teams we have.

There are still a few teams without the 3 game minimum, so there will be more movement as new game data comes in as league play is just starting.

As noted through PMs, some team names have changed. Do not be alarmed if there is are any new top teams on this FBR.

As per the usual, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier (not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  As always regulation scores are used for FBR, not OT and no PKs that determine game result (if known).  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09, any and all complaints (and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs. Remember,  there is going to be a lot more teams added as we get more game data in, and a lot of movement in the next month.

Feel free to PM or email if you think there is an error with your team or if you have any questions.  GotSoccer is generally used to determine team name/coach/club.  With limited data, I cannot tell which teams are still currently active so please message me of any recent changes.

There are still some teams I need clarification on. I believe some of these teams need to be merged, but I am having to go off of gotsoccer information that may not be up to date. As asked, please PM me if you notice something that needs to be updated/changed in the future. Thank you.

Fever with a big move with small sample size. They play #4, #5, and #7 over the next 3 weeks. It will be interesting to see how they do in that 3 game stretch.

When I look at this group of teams, there doesn't seem to be a lot of strong coaches in this age group. Have the clubs written off this group?

It doesn't make sense, Perez, so it must be due to the low number of games distorting the score. They beat Solar Ortiz, Rayados and DT Savage but they lost to DT South and Rush. Ortiz win was at the beginning of the season. They don't have to play Scarfone in league play. They have a tough 3 game stretch coming up so they will have every opportunity to prove it. It will be intriguing to see how they fair against tough competition.

Nah. Probably 1 or 2. Big clubs aren't involved with this age group....so they must stink.

All honesty, this probably will not look as accurate as it should until the end of the season. I still have 10 teams that have under 3 games that are going to be added once they get more games in as well. Patience comrades.

These U littles are playing a lot of games. How far back are you counting games here?

Good question. We haven't had alot of data coming through. I am going to purge all games played last calendar year on the next FBR.

FBR rewards strength of schedule, regardless of the result. This can and should be changed, but nobody wants to recalibrate the settings.

Some teams are avoiding top competition so I'm glad they are not being rewarded for that. It may be flawed but it encourages the right action. It will work itself out.

From the looks of this list and league scores there are two top teams and everyone else is at a similarly competitive level. So I would say at least the top 15 are all playing top competition.

There are two top teams and then the next 8-10 in the next tier and then another 5-10 in a third tier. The gap between the top 2 and the next tier is closing so that a few teams are starting to compete with the top 2.

My comments about avoiding competition is really directed at one team and they are free to develop their girls in whatever way they think is best. I was just saying that FBR encourages the best to play the best instead of focusing on wins... I was merely saying that this is a good thing because it encourages top teams to play each other which is good for development. Didn't mean to come off the way that it did. It's still just 7 yr old soccer. I get that.

I believe the best thing is for the top teams to always play each other. That's how everyone will get better. It looks like the top 15 teams are all playing at Primetime, except for FC Extreme.

So when is the 09 group starting a super not so secret league for the top 10 teams?

Where are they playing at?  The PSA rec league?  Wth is up with this age group?  The only thing missing on this list are the red hots and the unicorns. Man I hope you people aren't paying for this.
