Champions League?

I have heard "Champions League" during some recent discussions. I'm not familiar with a Champions League. Is this a thing? Can someone explain?

Thanks jogo. I had found that site before. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to offer much league info.

Texas Champions League (TCL) is a US Club sanctioned league that is part of US Club's National Premier League system.  It is administered by LHGCL, and has a similar geographic representation to the ECNL Texas Conference (NTX, STX, OK).

Each of the NTX ECNL clubs has 1 "automatic" bid into the league in each age group, and last I knew, LHGCL was also offering TCL bids to up to 3 "wildcard" spots in each age group, based on how teams finished in LHGCL D1 the prior season (but would not offer bids to teams placing outside of the top 4 in LHGCL D1). The wildcard bids are open to any club - e.g. LP '03 Elite is playing in TCL this year.

Not exactly sure how the OK and STX bids are awarded, but typically, you see teams from TSC, Lonestar (multiple), Challenge, Classics Elite, and Houston Dash participating, in addition to the occasional "wildcard" team from a different club that earned a bid.

Some of the teams playing in TCL are ONLY playing in TCL, while some do double duty in TCL and their local competitive league (i.e. LHGCL, WDDOA, etc.).

The competitive hierarchy for the NTX DA/ECNL clubs is typically...

DA (if the club has it)
ECNL
TCL/PL
LHGCL

So in most cases, it's the 2nd/3rd best team in the age group at the Big 5 (D'Feeters, FCD, Solar, Sting, Texans) that is playing in TCL.  I think it's pretty much the same for Lonestar, TSC, Challenge, etc. as well.

Where does Red River NPL fit in...from what I can see it's between LH and Plano based on some of the rec teams from AR. That was a big flop of propaganda. Are we sure we arent missing any other leagues? Oh yea JDL. Should would just have a arrow going to ECNL.and LH somewhere in the middle.

It seems to me you got a lot of moving parts and same peeps playing in multiple leagues..so how many real teams are there?

Just like guessing how many gummy bears are in the 5 gallon jug -- I'll go with 333,333ish ... give or take a few.  Better question would be -- how many unreal teams are there?
