FBR09 Rankings November 21st, 2017

Updated 09 FBR as of 11/21/17. Only 09 teams with 3 or more games played since 06/03/17 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U9 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  

FBR09 will also include any 09 teams playing against each other in the 08 division.  As long as the teams that are playing up are not using 08 players when playing against each other 09 teams.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  As always regulation scores are used for FBR, not OT and no PKs that determine game result(if known).  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

Why are Drifters ranked so high!!! They need to play some gold teams or teams that played in The Prime Time League

Looks like Rush registered, they are on the applied list now. Waiting on Xtreme, dallas texans south or willets

Drifters are a top 17 team for sure... 11 isn't that off if it's off at all. The team would have to travel a lot to play PT Gold so typically they only see good teams in tournaments.

Drifters are fast and athletic and play power style soccer. Not as skilled but over power less athletic Silver level teams.

so what tournaments are they doing to play top teams to be ranked so high??

Drifters are a small independent club out of Forney, btw. My opinion that they are a team deserving of a ranking in the 10-20 range is based upon observation. I understand they haven't played a lot of competition. Their ranking is being propped up by destroying silver and bronze teams and they beat DT South in July. If they don't play decent competition in the winter they will drop especially as their late summer tournaments drop off from their resume.

Not sure what point that makes we are south based team and have to travel an hour or more to play PT Gold games. Closest field is Moneygram and that is 40 minutes away on a good day. not questioning their strength but traveling is not an excuse.

I am new to the forum, and was hoping to send a PM but dont have enough comments yet, so please forgive me for my early post.

I wanted to ask about records posted. We played in a league at the PIT in Plano and all the teams we played against seem to have records that reflect the league standings, however our team record does not, which I think negatively effects our ranking. How are the records pulled and are performances against higher ranked teams considered?

RxCotten u need to pm the fbr09 or just attach the got soccer acct for your team and ask fbr to look at it.

i know you have to play team in your own age group and played at least 4 games?? but i would email FBR 09 he/she is really good with emailing back

That is definitely a lot, Lol...thank you for pointing me in this direction, and I agree with the brain candy thing. Our team was recently rebuilt this summer and really thought we had put together some strong performances, was looking to the rankings to see if they agreed or if I was just being a biased parent haha.

Looks like we should expect a gold, silver and bronze division with the U90 Challenge tournament across 23 teams. Normally that would lead me to expect 8 true Gold teams in the Gold division with a semifinal and final style playoff. Hopefully the 2 brackets in the gold division are balanced correctly so we see quality matchups in the playoffs. We will see.

If the 8 teams are the top 3 Solar teams, Rush, Samba, Moreno, Spirit and ESC I would balance the brackets like this:

Rush
ESC
Covey
Colvin

Scarfone
Angelone
Spirit
Moreno

I would seed Rush 1 and Scarfone and Angelone tied for 2. ESC is an unknown so they could be a top 4 team or be the worst out of 8 so put them in Rush's bracket and balance them out by putting the clear 8 seed, Moreno, in the other bracket with Scarfone and Angelone. The final 3 teams of Colvin, Covey and Spirit are fairly even so plug them in the remaining slots. This would assure us a quality playoff.

I find comments like this really annoying.

Everyone on here pays thousands of dollars a year for their "8 year old" to play competitive soccer year round including yourself (unless you are commenting on this board and don't have an 8 year old girl which is even stranger). Most of the world would find that ridiculous and laugh at all of us. And most of the world would laugh at all of us for posting on a message board dedicated to soccer for "8 year old" girls. This same message board that you post on has a ranking for "8 year olds".

But hey, you're the one with perspective cracking up at everyone on this silly thread? It's pretty obvious we are all a little insane... embrace it or don't post.

I agree with Neverhome. I mean we are all somewhat insane and love our DDs. We love watching them play
