Vegas Cup

I see several 09G Texas North teams are making the trip to Vegas Cup this weekend. For those who are going, it would be great to get your feedback on the tournament, competition, experience, etc. Good luck on the pitch and in the casino!

What is everyone doing over the Winter? Futsal? Indoor Soccer? Playing Basketball?

Indoor and spring season starts in less than a month. And, would be great to hear feedback from those who went out for Vegas Cup. Was it worth the trip? Good and fun tournament? Good team building for the kids and parents?

Having just returned, we had a lot of fun. Good bonding for players and parents. Teams mostly from CA, NV, and a few as far as Hawaii. Saw loads of boys & girls players on our flights (to/from). Great weather and several of us tacked on an extra day for sightseeing. Highly recommend - mid 60s and sunshine. Very solid competition throughout (at least in the U11 girls). Looked like most NTX teams had a solid showing, with several making into semis and finals.

We were there! It was a lot of fun and as my 06 son said, a weekend he will remember for the rest of his life. My daughter guest played with a younger team playing up. I thought it was a great challenge for them, yet they were able to hold their own (1 win, 1 loss by 1 point and 1 tie). It was pretty expensive when it was all said and done, but I think worth it.
