North Texas will have great matches this weekend thanks to the 09 girls. Look at this division!

Definitely curious to see how Feet V vs. ESC White turns out, especially given where they are in the national rankings. Too bad Solar South isn't playing this tourney.

Solar South 09G-Adames is playing in the U-11 gold division at the Houston Memorial Day Cup this weekend ..

5 of 6 teams are national top 40 teams... should be an entertaining tournament!

Good luck to South in Houston! Looking at the competition, I like their chances of bringing gold back to NTX but it won’t be easy!

Voutier is who we thought they were... big game tonight with ESC.

Too bad Tx spirit and Grado didnt join the party could have been a really fun weekend.
Voutier and Solar South are clearly 1 and 2 with about 6 other teams that all contend for 3-5 at any time.

Voutier whipped Scarfone Samba 8-0. Beat ESC 5-1. And, how was ESC ranked No. 4 and Voutier No. 10 on the national ranking? It’s good that more games are getting played among out of state teams so the national ranking data will be more accurate.

@ProDallas - I agree. The national data needs to be more accurate. ESC is a very good team, but not even close to the level of Voutier.

I wonder what happened in the Voutier vs Samba Scarfone game. That was quite a wooping!

Some of the teams including ESC and Samba are missing starters so that many have played a roll in the lopsided scores. That being said, the main reason Voutier isn’t ranked more accurately is they play boys teams most of the time which don’t get reflected in the national score. It isn’t the rankings fault that it doesn’t have more data to work with.

I understand about the boys and data. Games like these will start to bring more accuracy to the data, though.

Would be hard for Grado to have a real strong showing given his strongest playing is “augmenting” Angelone.

This was a good tune up before supercopa.

Gotta say though, playing on the bigger field Voutier really spreads out the field. They should win the tournament.

Ummm, I’m not spinning anything. Obviously, I’m not with Texans, DKSC or ESC. The truth is, Texans are short one of their starters (fact), ESC’s 2 best players are not here this weekend (fact) (I can describe them to you if you need to know) and Voutier is the best team in the nation and would be ranked accordingly if they played girls teams more often instead of always playing boys (my humble opinion). Not sure what your PR comment is all about since I’m stating facts and giving a reasonable explanation for the error in the rankings that everyone can see. I didn’t say the result would be different... only that maybe that explains the lopsided scores. SMH.

SoccerMinion... LOL... I’m assuming you were there this morning. If you think that’s the reason for the result, I don’t know what to say. Btw, Samba keeper was sensational... tip of the cap.

It’s a great tournament with tons of top flight teams... all these teams could win tournaments elsewhere but when they play against each other, someone has to lose. All teams are excellent and some are playing better than others... we could see different results on any given weekend.

Well said ProphAC I mean he is right, we have tons of talent in NTX, u cant let up with voutier, or they will get you. They seem to get us good everytime we play them. Again at least we get to play the best. We were missing a starter but as a team we have to try to adapt and shift players around. One of our players also got a slight concussion. She had to leave the game. She was having an awesome tournament. Hats off to all the teams. Hats off to Salsa for competing in the top division with no guest players. They played with 11 all tournament.

I too was impressed with Salsa playing in the top division... love it when teams challenge themselves!

Scores never display the real story. So proud of NTX for ALWAYS showing strong. Kudos to the girls!!
