How can Juventus not be number one? They have now 7 wins and 1 tie in the last 8 games going back to the Prime Time touney. StingDro is now 5 wins 2 ties and 1 loss to Juventus Black. Juventtus has played higher ranked teams. Something is wrong with your FORMULA!!!!

But they R not playing SDL U8 Divison 1. Let's stick to the facts and I'm wanting a reply from OuchmyKnee. I'm not saying SRSA and DT South and SAMBA Black are not quality teams. I'm discussing the current season rankings he has been posting.

I totally see both sides of this argument. With so many of the top teams playing up in '02 and others remaining in '03 we can only speculate.

Here hoping that this summer, some-if not all-of these top teams can somehow match up in tournaments. Not just to find out who is or is not the best. But because it will be a heck of a lot of fun watching some really good teams compete against each other.

Until then we can debate rankings and lob jabs at each other and boast. I can't wait and can't help wishing for a few match-ups starting as soon as next month.

I'm not sure what tourneys we are going to play but it would be fun to play the other top 03 teams. I know our girls would like to play in their age group for a change they've been getting beat up pretty good this season by the 02s. It really surprised me to see what a one year differance makes in physical size.

Defend - sure if you look at the standings you guys are in first. The Power Rankings use more than just wins/losses/ties, but also strength of schedule, goal differential up to 5 and of course the result of the game. I will admit that your latest PR includes the last 10 games; I count tournaments as one game, I average the tournament games so that the tournament games do not weigh too much in the rankings. In addition, I have included the last 9 games for Sting Mendoza. So, I made the adjustment to include the last 8 games for each team which the 8th game being the average of the Primetime Tournament, the PR for Sting Mendoza is 286.56 and the PR for Juve Black is 269.00 I anticipate that you will have another jump in PR points after this weekend - you will be dropping 251 points from Primetime and adding points if you beat Fever. Hope this helps

The FBR has ways of ranking divisional play that ties to strength of schedule. I am going to see if I can get Gopher over in the 01s to help come up with a plan on this one.

I agree, they should be considered part of the 03 rankings. My thought would be, how could we use the 02 rankings (FBR in my case) of the teams that they play to be factored? Thus, if they are playing a weaker 02 team, it has some factor (vice versa). But, that they play up also has a heavier weighted ranking.

Also, I plan to work through the tournaments as well this summer and keep the rankings going.

That's why you don't do rankings.

Let me ask you. Do you rank Canadian Football league with NFL? Do you rank Varsity teams against Freshman teams? What about Juco vs D1 college teams?

Just keep the 03 teams playing up in what ever age bracket they are in and be ranked in that group they play in. Heck, they are so good, they should play in the Worldcup

....yes yo do rank varsity with freshman....it is called NCAA....freshman compete with seniors all the time....ranking is very important. Academy is pre-select, this is how you determine at what level your kid should be playing and improving. The QT tournament determines seeding on your rankings.


For example.....if you are winning games against D3 opponents and nobody else than don't be shocked when your team gets low ranking and then low seeding and then bad draw in QT and then you do not make LHGCL and then you end up in arlington classic (2500 lot of money for this league)
