I didn't watch the video but if I owned a trophy company I'd be all for trophies for all!

I'm confused. At least once a week someone on here is griping about the over-emphasis in soccer on winning. "Kids should be playing to develop, not win a meaningless trophy or medal", they argue. But then a writer like the one in this article extols the virtues of winning the meaningless trophy or medal. I'm not a big advocate for participation trophies, but those pretty much stop at around U8 from what I've seen. After that, should our kids want to win these tournaments or not?

No they should not want to win those trophy's. Look at Labor Day 02 tourney post. It's about development.

To me League play is about development but tourny's imo are too win.
