Soccermom03 wrote:What are the "rules" for an Academy team switching to another club? Our entire team is 100% (including coach) on board to moving to another club. We are currently playing in an indoor league (which was paid by our dues, not the club). However, we are being "held hostage" by the original club who is threatening everyone/everything if we switch uniforms. I don't remember signing any contracts in Acadmey? Who can shed some light on this for me?
There is not much that the club can to do prevent you from wearing the new colors.

No biggie. Play in the original club uniforms in that case. Then move on.

Re: Academy Team switching clubs
Maybe it's the mid season switch thing but even then I've seen teams switch mid season.

However teams switch all the time at this age (heck the board is littered with rumors or stories of teams switching clubs) so I was just curious what was so special about this team or this situation.

Dont over analyze it. Its clearly a stupid ego thing. This kind of thing happens occasionally. Its a minor bump on the youth soccer highway.

Depending on where you are playing the spot is actually reserved for the children registered on the roster and that paid for their neato NTX ID cards, regardless of who wrote the check. Although I have seen a certain club that is affiliated with a certain facility that has free reign to bring in any kid, card or no card, roster or no roster...but that is a different thread entirely.

This is an easy one folks.
You are the client.
Your $ paid for indoor regardless of who wrote the check.
End of story.
Academy is not select. You can move wen and as often as you want as long as you don't mind paying for new uni's etc.
