4A Play-off Predictions Girls Region 1 and 2

Ok I'll bite.

Region 1 - Denton Ryan

Region 2 - Winner of Highland Park - Wakeland game this weekend.

I know I know way out on a limb.

I predict that a lot of teams will be screwed by the fact that the girls will have to choose club or school. What a shame.

Especially given the fact that it's a non-ECNL, isolated 3-day tournament vs. win/go-home scenarios that come along much more infrequently...

I predict that all the girls will play high school. As a matter of fact, our team will only have 9 or 10 able to play tonight.

Whomever wins the Highland Park/Wakeland game (based on predictions they will both win their games tonight) will be hard to lose and sadly we have played and lost to them both and potentially will play one of them if all goes our way at semi-final game.

Oh and word on the street is that girls are so far all choosing to play in their High School games and not club games and that includes our ECNL players who were slated to play over the next few days. Should be interesting to see if that happens.

Halftime at the Wakeland vs JJ Pearce game tided O-0

Wakeland game going to OT tied 0-0

Wakeland 1-0 over Pearce in OT. Wakeland possednthe ball more and had more shots on goal just couldn't connect during regulation time. They came out after half time a new team. Whatever coach screamed at them lite a fire in them.

I will say Pearce goal keeper was awesome. She made some great saves. My '02 who is as a keeper was very impressed with her. She was happy to see that Wakeland didn't have a very tall keeper either. My '02 is average height and coaches frown up on her as a keeper even though she is good. It was encouraging to her to see and average size height keeper doing a great job in tonight's game. She can't wait until she is able to play for Wakeland.
