Only a 1-0 win against local competition. Would think it would be more. Good luck to the Texas teams playing each other.

A 1-0 win against Parker is a solid win. Parker is going to be a very competitive team in D1 next year IMO. Good luck to all the teams! I wouldn't be surprised to see Parker take second in that group...but all of those teams are very good.

Anyone still think that draw was blind? Granted Solar is not same team as last year but the three N Texas teams in bracket are all really
good. OK maybe I am still disappointed in the US tie. Anyone have a shot of Don Julio Reposado

I believe Sting's one win away from qualifying for Nationals - assuming Ponte Vedra is in the finals (probably a good assumption). Very favorable matchup as well.

Exactly. Ponte Vedra already qualified through National League - we were within a half of qualifying (actually against them, in fact). 4 team already qualified via National League.
In Region 4, since Legends already qualified, the other finalist (Roca - whom we played at Surf last year), qualified for Nationals.

It's probably in everyone's interest money/marketing...to allow as many as possible in. More get to experience the fun. U13 only has 4 teams (and no ECNL competition, so, I'd think they'd expand that one at some point).

Tophat - who is also in our region and also a state cup winner was not at Regionals. I'm guessing they were allowed to bypass as they were a top seed winner of National League - that would save teams a ton of money if they can bypass the entire Regionals event.

As Premier League champion - we qualified for Regionals, but still had to attend/compete in State Cup. I can think of several reasons why that makes sense from a big club perspective.

Bottom line - I believe Sting is 1 win away!

Lots of NTX teams have a great chance to go to Nationals.

I knew tophat had already qualified which is why Porte bread being in confused me. Couldn't figure out why tophat could skip. Good deal.

Good luck to Sting Flannagan.

I'd think it's the other way around. Wouldn't the only age group you're likely to see a majority of ECNL quality players at USYS be u13? If I were a betting man 3 of the 4 national finalists at u13 this year will be the top ECNL teams in their respective divisions at u14 (Bethesda, Surf, and Michigan Hawks).

IMO, U13 USYS is the only open national championship left in girls club soccer.

Confirmed, if Ponte Verda wins Wednesday (semi's) the other finalist goes to Nationals. Ponte Verda plays OFC in one semifinal and Sting Flanagan plays Piedmont Triad out of NC in the other.

This is comical and of course you would think that. Kicks are to be congratulated for doing all that they can do by beating any and all teams in front of them but the reality is U13 season is watered down as players are scattered across all teams and do not combine to create the depth and strength of Ecnl until U14 and later.

Proof is who Kicks just beat to win Regionals. OFC Philips is average at best and would have finished in the bottom part of D1 and that is who Kicks played in the Finals (ie. top 8 teams in the country for U13). No chance of that being the case. OFC went 1-2 during Dallas International Cup and finished last in their pool behind Sting, Texans and Solar Red. Lost 3-1 to Sting and 4-0 to Solar Red. And that was the finalist and competition at Regionals. Not exactly a powerhouse team but typical of the competition the Kicks will face in the coming years as a non-Ecnl participant.
