Which 04 teams did not make?

Just wondering which 04 teams did not make?

Too early I think for you to get any responses.  All the teams short players are probably telling their parents they will make this week- in time for King TuT.  Everyone is waiting for the other team to blink and explode.  Or signing caspers. Time is running out though. It is a process getting registered on gotsoccer.

Just happy to not be a part of that mess.

Sorry to barge but just to clarify--when you say "didn't make" you mean not in time for Lake Highlands (LHCL).  There, you have to have 14 on roster to do Qualifying Tourney and that deadline is this week.  But, that doesn't mean the team falls apart IF the team is fine with playing select in PPL (Plano Premier League), right?  I think an earlier thread I started said you need less players for PPL.  My DD's team has enough for LH but I am getting questions from some friends whose dds are on other teams and there seems to be a little confusion about what "make" means.  Sometimes we think LH is the only "select route" but these kids are aging out of Rec and are looking for a "next step" and this "not making" thing is confusing so I wanted to make sure I'm telling them the right info.   In terms of teams "blowing up" because they don't have 14 and some of their parents really, really want LH how do they know the team they are leaving "for" will even qualify during the QT and would end up in PPL anyway?  Or if they pick a "higher up" team that is very likely to qualify--will their kid end up being #16 joining at the last minute and not yet at that level so they sit the bench all year?  Because most of the teams in the upper 20 (where I know a parent anyway) already have their 14 (or more) and are only looking to fill all the way up to a full 16.  Maybe it's just I'm not in the know--but all the teams I know of that are just under 14 aren't looking at "for sure" qualifying for LH anyway.

PS: what exactly is a "casper"? If means rostering a ghost player--wouldn't someone catch on to that?

a "casper" is usually a friend of the manager's kid. They don't play soccer, and probably never will. They sign the paperwork, receive a full "scholarship", and never show up to practices or games. But...they actually exist.

Sorry, let me clarify:

(1)  Any teams out there ranked 40 or better that had plans to test the LHGCL qualifying waters, but find themselves short of players (14, including Casper) to register?

(2)  Any teams previously listed in the FBR who have decided to officially disband (or merge with another team)?

I heard names like Mustangs, Kicks and Spirit North batted around a couple weeks ago as being borderline...but a lot can change in a couple of hours, let alone a couple weeks.

It makes sense though, as these teams were probably in the same situation as any other single-team club/division. In multi-team situations, you can always "promote" a kid to the "A" team and make your 14. That may leave the "B" team a bit short, but you only need 12 for PPL, and the deadline is later.

Mustangs never had a problem you source was wrong, this is team is ready for the QT.

Just names that I heard getting tossed around second and third hand...glad to hear everything is fine in Mustang-land. And to be clear - I hope everything is fine with Spirit North and Kicks as well.
I don't like it when teams don't make...there is always hurt feelings, and the kids get the worst introduction to politics possible.

Mismanagement and incompetence.

Good to hear that Mustangs are good to go.   

I see Kicks are in the Seeding Showdown, which was locked-down rosters and minimum 14...so looks like they are good to go too. AND I got a PM that Spirit North was good on their numbers. So all 3 teams that I heard as being borderline ended up making...good news!
