Lonestars won. Gunners only team to clinch...congrats!

I hear Sporting, Gunners, Liverpool Keegan and Flash are in.

Results aren't all correct NTFC won this morning and finished disappointing 3rd but a ball kick out of keepers hand(sporting)and own goal(gunners) did them in

After seeing some games over the past couple weekends, I have no doubts that those who made it in are deserving.  In my opinion the 2 round schedule worked and helped make DIII even more competitive for the upcoming season!

I agree Ace. You can only get lucky so much...talent generally wins out. Good luck all that made it. Well deserved.

So if LHGCL would have used the 1 weekend QT format as used in the past, Melissa would have qualified. The two weekend format allowed LiverPool Keegan to qualify instead of Melissa. Keegan is the only team to qualify who was not a bracket winner from week one.

Yep...that looks correct. Glad had the 2 weekend format. Keegan tied Melissa but won the bracket while Melissa finished last in the bracket. Bigger sample probably provides truer results.

If every team had the good fortune of playing our beloved Renegades. All would be good .
Sporting FC should have been in LH long ago. Never heard them complain about brackets or seeding. Liverpool not only survived , but thrived in what we called the ,"Bracket of Death". Never heard them complain. Even Gunners and Flash never voiced complaints as the pressure of the tournament grew stronger each match.
All of the teams that played in the QT had to endure many hardships. Heat, strong competition and pressure from self, peers , coaches .
Unlike the clubs that made it through, Melissa SC had to endure an obstacle the girls could not pass.
The few loud, obnoxious parents that were berating referees and barking orders at the players.
Melissa SC has an excellent coach. They were prepared both mentally and physically .they were technically sound . However the girls were distracted in their play by their loved ones . It undermined their coach. It distracted the girls from their task. If the coach can clean up his sideline better results will follow.
If you are looking for a professional organization to learn from, look at Lonestars. You'll see them in Plano twice this year. Pray that you don't see them in Lake Highlands qualifying next year.
Because if those few obnoxious parents don't get in line with the quality coach and his players , you will always be one step behind.

Wasn’t there but did hear some of the exact same comments about that sideline. Even saw some video that you could hear that sideline in the back ground. Coached my daughter for many years so it’s really hard to keep my mouth shut but it works. Now I just sit back and enjoy watching. Sometimes I have to do some serious lip biting! LOL They are old enough and have been playing long enough to use their own brains. Sit back and enjoy the show. Let them play they just might surprise you!

Did not know that about Melissa. Nothing can screw up a good team more than a few unruly parents and the coach does not take care of it (see the misfortunes of '99 Mustangs...great team ruined by a very few parents from what I understand). Hopefully, the parents will realize it is not about them which can be understandably hard to realize.

It is one thing to be a cheerleader for your DD and the team, it is another to yell at your DD, the ref, the team or anyone. There have been many times when I have had to bite my tongue to keep from responding to an over the top parent or grandparent. We had a parent (female) who challenged the opponent coach to a fight during the game. We had to take her away from the field in order to prevent our coach from being ejected. I have seen other instances where the entire section of parents in the game prior to ours were rejected.

All this does is make things difficult for the team and players, and coach.

You have got to stop and think "in five years from now, will what was done or said mean anything?"

I will be the first to admit that I am passionate about my DD, but I prefer to cheer her and her team mates on. Positive moments bring positive results.

Parents need to let the coach to do the coaching, isn't that what they paid for, and if not if they can could better then they should form their own team and go from there. Our team is blessed that our coach coaches and we have a bunch of cheerleaders but their not as pretty.

I thought it was supposed to calm down as the girls get older!  I recall watching a U17 team a few years ago and the parents were so quiet. They just enjoyed watching the game and their DDs and had no game commentary at all.  I can't wait for that day!
I still hear taunting and petty/classless remarks coming off the sidelines. Rather sad actually.
