FCD - Sting will be a fun one to watch. Whose defense will hold out.
Texans -Look for an improved offense from them.
Solar will score lots of goals. This is the team to beat IMO
Feet aren't very deep, hope they stay healthy.
Good luck to all this weekend. Would love to see NTX show well.
Safe travels to all those driving out of town this weekend.

Solar plays 38 mins of second half a man/player down. Red card on a hand ball that was being crossed in front of the goal...in the box. Call was excessive in my opinion.
Rush player takes out Solar forward (from behind) on clean break away in the penalty box and leaves with a yellow card....riddle me that?

“
Solar 1-0 over Rush
”
Harsh and wrong call on the young lady from Solar to be red carded as she will miss her next game..and the ball was not going in the goal. That said it happened in the 68th minute not 2 minutes into the 2nd half. If anything it actually helped Solar as they lifted after the great save from the ensuing PK whereas Rush looked flat after that miss. Correct call on the Rush player and it deserved a yellow. Riddle solved!
Very physical game however with both sides taking away some positives. Other results seem to be within expectations but it looks like a long season ahead for Challenge with Texans looking very good though still early. DT has a very skillful offense with a gun forward that is a difference maker.

Re: ECNL Predictions 9/6-9/7
A. DD played with carded player and knows she wouldn't intentionally knock a ball down....
B. Was she the last defender?
C. If B is the case the ref has to make the call 95% of the time...
D. Either way I would be very upset if my DD, (defender) were red carded for it, intentional, I would be upset with her, unintentional, self explanatory.

Re: ECNL Predictions 9/6-9/7
Dad the girl was on the near post as ball was crossed in, hands by her side as ball came in raised hands to stop or maybe to proctect herself from getting hit but the ref was right on top of it. Intentional or not it was done. Great game to watch as it looks like the only way the teams would both score was on a PK in which Solar converted and Rush did not.1more_dd_dad wrote:Couple of things:

Challenge had a tough weekend with Solar and DT. They aren't as physical as Rush (not many are), but they have some speed up top. Good job NTX by going 4-0 in that muggy Houston heat.
DT have a new coach and added a lot of new faces. This weekends scoring was very balanced with 6 girls scoring 9 goals, 3 girls with a pair of goals and a defense that only allowed 1 goal. I think the "difference maker" this weekend was in the play of the group. I do agree that the player referenced as the "gun forward" will contribute significantly this season.
