It would be a huge money grab. (but at least I wouldn't have to spend the weekend in the sun next weekend stressing out) Is it 4/5 spots anybody know?

Heard one team still has not turned in a roster yet, if they don't, that is the 5th opening. Is that Redstar? They show nothing in Gotsoccer, no coach, no manager and no roster.

Friend @ d'feeter's says the DII team split. Coach(Red Stars) used his bye as trade off for D1 spot for his dd(well played coach). What happened to their keeper?

My understanding was only a few were coming over and it was pretty late in the game. The focus was to create a competitive product for the D1 team, not to just create rosters and throw a couple of non competitive teams out there last minute.

Thanks much. I know they were posting mid june to backfill Red Star as a defeeters team...seems like that went away. Hate to see independents break up, but that is the way of things.

Here are the teams that will make LH D-3

1. North Texas Futbol 01 Black
2. Fort Worth FC 01G Red
3. Andromeda FC 01G Red
4. Liverpool FC America 01 Girls Rush * That's if they still have a team. I heard the didn't, but I believe they're still together.
Fort Worth FC and North Texas Futbol are the strongest of the group.

Liverpool 01 Girls Rush have a bye into Lake Highlands Division 2 and do not need to qualify. They were placed in the Silver Division on request from TD

I heard from a friend who heard from a friend that this is for most purposes a new team. The majority of the Keegan girls left and went other places and only a couple of the Rush girls stayed around. This will be a new beginning for this team, bye included.

Only 2 girls from last year's Rush team are listed on the Gotsoccer roster for Rush for next year. I have no idea how many Keegan girls are listed on the roster. Matt Veasey (the Rush coach last year) bolted for FCD at the beginning of June without even as much as a goodbye email. Very classy guy.

There was so much roster movement this off season (kids and coaches) that I don't know how anyone could possibly predict how successful teams will be. Some D1 teams turned over around 50% of their roster. Some D2 teams even more.

The only prediction I would make is that Kicks SC will be excellent again this year. Other than that, I think a lot remains to be seen at all levels. Personally, I cannot wait for the season to begin. Too much speculation; not enough action. At least there is Gold Cup semis tonight.

Thanks for your concern Dallas Messi, Rush will be just fine thanks. Picked up great players from Lake Highlands/ECNL teams and top players from Plano 1 last year. You can move on now sir, nothing to see here. Also this "long year" is connected to results I assume not development. Statements like this sum up the poor state of youth soccer in North Texas.
