QT Question Empty QT Question

Post by purplefrog 11/05/16, 08:43 am

Will the number of spots available to qualify for be 4 regardless? Or will it fluctuate up or down depending on the number D3 byes claimed for the upcoming season (04's moving up and 03's remaining 03). I guess a better way to ask it is will LH allow more than 10 teams to be in D3 next season? If not, then the number of spots available may be reduced depending on which age group the teams with D3 byes will be in

I wouldn't trust any answer that you get on this question today, as I don't think even LHGCL knows for sure, and won't know until the smoke clears after May 17th.

QT Question Empty Re: QT Question

I'd personally be surprised (but not shocked), if LHGCL didn't open up at least 4 spots in D3 to qualify via the QT in each group, even if that meant having a D3 with >10 teams in some age groups for next year.

Based on what I've heard, I think LHGCL is prepared for 1 more year of "unbalanced" divisions due to the whole AP transition mess, with the intention of returning to their historical division sizes in 2017-2018, assuming we don't get another weather anomaly like Spring 2015.

Don't forget that this season will have full QT for 06s and conceivably a full QT for 05. So no need to worry about LHGCL financial woes this year.
