Do we know that they aren't going to also play D1? Until then, include them.

Why would you do that?

There won't be any JDL teams qualifying or playing at LH D1.

Since the Selecao and JM Squads are now wearing D'Feeters gear, they (or most of those girls) will likely be taking the two JDL spots in their respective age groups for them.

JDL is simply another division at LH. A team won't play in two divisions within the same league. The top two teams in '04, '05, and '06 groups for each of the five DFW ECNL clubs will be playing in the JDL division.

Well this is all clear as mud. I guess we'll just wait until Monday to find out (since QT registration closes Friday evening). Does LH post an "accepted teams" list?

Correct, however just because they are JDL team does not mean they are top team in Div, just club. There are several good teams out there that will not be in JDL. Some may choose to play both, and should.

Yes. It would be nice if LH would publish some rules (or even existence) for these new leagues. Will the same teams be allowed to play both JDL and Classic League? Either way, there will be negative consequences. If the same team is not allowed to play both leagues, then classic just got watered down a whole lot more but if they are allowed to play, it goes against the recommendation that more games does not lead to more development. Hmm...

Don't think it is LH rule. Maybe club rule? Maybe clubs are not allowing those teams that are JDL to keep their bye in LH as well since essentially they will be given another bye into JDL. Perhaps making them qualify if they want to play D1 too.

Jdl is a seperate league operated by LHGCL via us club soccer.

The choice to play both is the teams choice and most are not playing both, most not all.

Let's assume Kicks and Solar Colvin will play both.  How are they going to seed this?  I'll take a stab at the top 12.  Taking cover now.

The LH D1 bye is for the Clubs and the coaches to continue to generate revenue when ECNL and DA starts. Solar and FCD have both ECNL and DA, so I assume none of their JDL teams will play LH. I'm just guessing though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Big Ern is a Manager spreading this misinformation. If you don't think LH is going to let the ECNL clubs do whatever they want, then you haven't been paying attention.

BigE I know that there will be at least a few teams that do both.

The whole thing is being put together by the clubs. Rules written by the clubs... simply administered by LH.

If JDL is a division within LH how is it that there is no promotion from D1 to JDL from one season to the next?

Right ... JDL was formed by execs at the 5 DFW ECNL clubs in conjunction with LHGCL. The JDL division is exclusively for ECNL clubs, will utilize ECNL rules and be governed by US Club rather that US Youth. This will allow the occasional player to play both in D1 and JDL with two different teams within the same club.

I don't write much on these boards but occasionally chime in to clear things up when there seems to be widespread confusion. The humorous thing is that when some one that actually knows some of the answers speaks up, you all get riled up as if you thrive on the speculation and possibility of conspiracy.

My DDs JDL team is doing QT for LH AND is doing JDL, not a few players, the team. This is not rumor or day dreaming but fact.

So I didn't say there was a "rule" against this (someone else might've) as it is technically allowed at this point ... just that there won't be anyone doing it, and nor should there be.

If your coach is choosing to do this, it's the wrong choice ... ~36 league games in ~10 weeks = not good for anyone. Have fun with that.

I'll re state ... There won't be any quality JDL programs/teams participating in both JDL and D1 divisions. LH D1 will be watered down this year and continue to dwindle in the coming years.

First your math is wrong.

19 LH games spread over 19 weekends.
18 JDL games speed over the same weekends of LH.

So not 36 games in 10 weekends.

Second, her team is not the only team doing it.

Third.... you feel better taking shots at little girls soccer teams go right ahead... big man behind a keyboard...

With all these extra game from the new leagues in LH, where will all these games be played?
