Yeah, this movement is completely normal. The big clubs have a tremendous amount of movement of teams and coaches at the Jr's level.

I hope this is not the case but it seems to me that sting could have pulled off both leagues. Once the dust had settled then made a decision to drop out or stay in DA.

Sting made a backroom deal to drop DA in return for ECNL awarding Sting a 2nd ECNL team in Austin.
It's about money. Nothing else.
Rumor is it's backfiring for Sting in a big way as the Austin recruitment has been a giant bust.
