Rumor has it that the girl that was the best player on Rush was seen playing for Solar Angelone this weekend in a 2-1 loss to Texas Spirit. If she has switched teams, that would explain the recent tie between DTS and Rush...

I think South is a great team top to bottom but the difference maker is the defender who seems to be all over the field...my understanding is that you can have a guest player as long as they are not registered to a team within the same division/bracket

Not disputing that DTS is a solid team...but if Rush Elite's best player has switched teams, it's only a matter of time before Rush isn't the #1 team anymore...

These are 8-9 year olds....does it matter how good they are now? Players switch teams all the time at this age. I will say DTS is a solid team and they have some good teams to follow in the South.

It may matter a little bit....I only say that because a good bit of the usual suspects that were balling when my oldest was 8-9 are still some of the top players now in ALL leagues (ECNL and DA.)

I can assure you that no Rush player has guest played with Solar Angelone at all or ever. Rush is dealing with injuries so that might explain the tie with DTS but none of the current Rush players have ever guested with Solar Angelone ever. You either have wrong information or the wrong teams. Not sure how else to put it.

Lol Turkey! I didn’t return from a 4 month break from this board to become the rumor police but it was too absurd not to comment.

The rumor didn’t even make sense. Wondering if Rush tied DTS b/c their best player goes to Angelone but then in the same breath saying Angelone lost to Spirit with that top Rush player???

I started thinking a Spirit parent started the rumor just trying to make their win over Angelone look more impressive. That’s how dumb that rumor sounded to me. Sigh.

See you guys in another 4 months.

A case of mistaken identity by a mistaken observer. Regarding Spirit's perceived ill intent I doubt it's the case as they are currently ranked above Angelone and hence don't need to further embellish their win against them...

I don’t care what the rankings say, Spirit is not better than Angelone. Have you ever actually watched both teams play?

The rankings are fun but let’s not forget we have eyes and can see the quality of each team for ourselves.

Those in the soccer community know that Khoury competes beyond his team’s skill level. At all age levels, his teams play very good teams close with a strong defense and fast forwards and steal wins. He’s been doing it for decades. I’m sure this past weekend was no different.

I know! How can this pesky little no-name club be better than the mighty Solar? Not possible. Just getting lucky. Same as Spirit Monk 06 in D1. You should try not to tense up so much and get some Preparation H for that soreness... Personally I love how they keep proving time and again that you don't have to sell your soul to do well in this sport, at any age group.

Ha Ha Ha! That's funny... been "stealing" wins for decades at all age levels... with strong defense and fast forwards... just need to throw in an opinion on the goalkeeping and you might just be describing the recipe for success!

Poor guy doesn't know he's supposed to put out his worst defenders and slow forwards out of pure decency when he's facing a "better" team. Someone needs to tell him.

I agree with ProphAC, this post makes no sense, like i said earlier. Now "stealing wins" was freaking funny. You win some and lose some. Both Spirit and Angelone have good teams. This game would be a toss up each time.

Spirit has two girls (one forward and one defender) that are extremely good and would be among the best players on any team in the Metroplex.
