I am sure that is the truth which is disappointing. I see a future story that exposes the corruption in North Texas competitive soccer.

It is, but that is what sheep get.

Find it interesting that no one has named names or even initials. Is it out of respect for the system, fear of reprisal, or not in any ones best interest to do so?

Fear of the reprisal! Even on this board, when a coach is called out for wrong doing it is always seen as a discruntal parent with a axe to grind. You have a roage system where coaches for a year have players and parents living in fear.

I don't know which coach for sure but the choices are limited when you look at coaches that have teams in D1 and ECNL (and also practice those players in a large pool). My guess would be someone affiliated with D'Feeters but the OP can confirm.

So now that we figured out who it is, should we make sure he weighs the same as a duck before we attempt to burn him at the stake for his transgressions?

I think you are correct. I don't know the age group or the coaches but it appears from their website to be the only coach with an 03 select and 03 ECNL team. I'm assuming he isn't pooling different age groups together in those 40 kid sessions.

@wazup, did you receive positive feedback from the coach and manager. What was the final outcome?

Probably against my better judgment we decided to stay.  My dd really likes playing with these girls and soccer is still fun for her on this team.

Now we are finding out that there have been at least a couple departures.  Sounds like we aren't the only ones who didn't know some didn't sign, and the coach certainly didn't clue us in.  Practice is starting back up so this should be fun.

In addition, hearing he made a bunch of promises about dual-rostering between D1 and ECNL, but now he is backtracking on that and placing kids who were supposed to be "dual-rostered ECNL players" onto the D1 roster only.

I'm sure we will get some Jesus talk to get everyone in line.

The coach is not going to clue you in that players are not re-signing as then the whole flock leaves.  40 girls at practice and 20 of those with promises of getting dual-rostered to ECNL.  Does this coach give the bottom half of his ECNL team play time on the D1 roster? You throw in the whole fees situation you discussed and it sounds like an expensive play group for your DD.

That must be a thing for that club. They gave one of their team byes to their newest ‘05 team. This team had nine girls on signing day with the promise of filling the roster with ECNL players. It’s going to be a sad day when those ECNL players have other obligations and don’t show up to play. But hey, at least they can boast that they are in LH D2!

What's even funnier in this whole scenario is: isn't he like a big name GK trainer on the side as well? And he can't find a GK to join his 03 team that he needs to go searching in the 04 age group? affraid affraid

Just FYI - he did that last year as well until the parents started getting pissed, then he started shuffling players around quick to keep the parents from losing their ***BAD LANGUAGE*** on him.  Most of those are no longer with this team btw.  They got wise to the lies...

No.  But there is a pointed religious discussion prior to an offer.
