You know what is funny though, when a team's best player -you know the one that keeps the team in games - leaves for FC Dallas in January and parents of the old team have to eat humble pie. now that is funny. That just gets me smiling every time...

what are the big games for this Sunday... hopefully weather doesn't put a damper on any games...

Week 5

A- FCD Bailey vs DT Eligio - Eligio should win but they play down to opponents level sometimes
B- FCD Ardy vs Zenith Palomeque - Zenith makes it tough pulls out tie or even close win
C- FCD West vs Solar Fritz expect FCD win but Solar is streaky
D- Garland Tigres vs SPTX = Close matchup picking Garland for the win by less than 3 goals

the sptx v tigres games should be good one ,

Man I just got text from JCL - All games for JCL on Sunday 10/21 are CANCELLED. Bummer my son is just coming back from a shoulder buckle fracture sustained 7 weeks ago in the PLD Tourney. Was happy about all the cancelled games until now it would have been his 1st game back.

The scrimmages at the pit were really good went just as expected , no surprises at all

What scores?

Not sure why the interest in scrimmage scores but I can give the Santos vs Allegiance review - my son plays for Santos. First thanks to Allegiance for making the trip to Frisco on a Sunday morning. That is a really good team. It was a great close game of passing and possession. First half was scoreless possession favored Allegiance at first then slowly Santos got into rhythm. Allegiance attack is their strength and they put us under pressure first part of half. Our defense held and forced shots from outside the box. Allegiance was definitely more physical and won 50-50 balls. Santos got their chances and the allegiance goalie had some great saves...Allegiance also had chances neither could finish. Both tried to build from the back - possession was close to even with an edge to allegiance.

2nd half - both grps of starters came on to start 2nd. More of the same Santos had a clear chance on a nice through ball but the goalie had a great stop. Last half of 2nd both teams started experimenting with lineups. Allegiance got a goal off a corner kick with an hard acrobat shot that hit the inside of top crossbar that then bounced in. End of regulation was 1-0 to Allegiance but honestly it didnt matter it was a great game the result could have been either way from my perspective.

We played another 10 minutes we both teams experimenting - each team had 3-4 starters on the bench. Still really good game. We have a goalie we brought up from rec - great with hands but still learning with his feet - as you know our goalie passes - he got caught pressure and tried to play out instead of clearing it - which imo is the right thing to do in a scrimmage - allegiance got an easy tap in. That same goalie had an amazing reaction save to a deflected shot too.

End of 2 and a half halves was 2-0. It was a great game and we needed to play that level of competition. I would rather play and lose to a team like Allegiance a 100 times then play JCL. We learned something and our boys will be better because of it. Thanks again Allegiance hopefully i was fair and accurate in my recap - but it was a real pleasure.

I saw first couple minutes of the FCD battle. Only interesting tidbit was that Solar South/FTW Tigres best player was suited up and starting for FCD Red. If he moves there, FCD Red is gonnna get stronger.

That was great recap. Sounds like a great game. Golas09 I didn’t see any excuses and if you think Santos needs or even probably cares about offering excuses for a scrimmage you have delusions of grandeur and a bad case of NTXYSOS disease- North Texas Youth Soccer Obsession Syndrome. Obviously you have a beef with Santos – they probably beat you in some tournament - and frankly yawn.... nobody cares about it and its getting tired. Not sure why you care about a little independent team so much but for your mental well being I suggest taking a cold shower think about pizza and giving that obsession up.

I'd say this to your face if I knew who you were. I don't hide behind a username. You are welcomed to come watch MY kid play any day !!! From my experience its usually the dads w.the least talented kid that have ALOT to say !! You crossed a line and you get what you Give !!!

Week 6 if there is one - I am so jaded by the weather at this point

A. Revolution vs Solar South -  2 vs 3 - predict Revo wins with their speed up top
B. Zenith vs FTW Tigres - another 2 vs 3 something tells me that Zenith will out kick ball Tigres for the tight win
C. DT White vs FCD West - 4 vs 5 loser slips out of pack at the top FCD West and regains some mojo
D DIS Levante vs FCD Kang - 2 vs 5 can Levante close the gap? My guess is Kang wins

Idk about the zenith vs ft worth tigeres
Tigeres has to loose at one point idk if zenith is the team to do so
